A big CONGRATULATIONS to my wonderful husband and best friend who turns 50 today! HURRAY HURRAY HURRAY! We celebrated the big day with a cosy dinner in a restaurant in Gdansk, Poland.

Now we have arrived in Gdansk. Getting here took quite a long time on patched and repaired roads, behind tractors blocking the way and through all the towns that suddenly appear on the road. But now we are at the Stogi campsite on the beach in Gdansk.
Birthday celebrations in Gdansk
We celebrated Peter's birthday by going to Gdansk by tram in the evening. Gdansk is a 1000 year old and very beautiful city, which is cosy to stroll around.
There are plenty of restaurants to choose from, and we found one that was cosy by the water. Here the prices are adapted to tourists, and definitely more expensive than in other places in Poland. But at least we could enjoy the evening with a good wine and some good cheeses.
