Last night we visited the popular restaurant Lammet och Grisen here in Löttorp on Öland. Thank you (several) blog readers who told us about it! At Lammet, as the restaurant seems to be called, they serve "Öländsk fest". And yes, it was definitely a party we attended yesterday.

ShareDignified buffet at the Lamb and the Pig.
The lamb and pork buffet is sumptuous, and there's no risk of leaving hungry, so to speak. For SEK 329 (in 2013) you can enjoy a buffet of lamb and pork from Öland and Småland. The meat is sliced on the premises and you can choose from a variety of cuts such as fillet, steak, shoulder, loin, ribs and rack of lamb.
Of course, the buffet also includes all the side dishes you can think of. There are different types of potatoes, vegetables, sauces and mixes. Very tasty and nice! Read more at the restaurant's website.
Back and forth by bike
Considering how much we ate, it was perhaps fortunate that we hired bikes and cycled there and back from there. Sonja's campsite ... It was a nice bike ride of a few kilometres through the Öland landscape. The restaurant also has parking spaces for motorhomes, so you can stay overnight with the motorhome if you want. Great service! Today we will move again. Follow us and you will see where!

We also made a visit there many years ago. I think I ate a little too much because I have never longed to return. But, it was nice and it was also good.

Ditte, absolutely! It was good quality meat, side dishes, wine and beer, so we were satisfied! A nice excursion as well!
Lars Petmeln, it is always easy to eat too much at a buffet! So it's not really my favourite, but we were still very happy!

We go there on Saturday evening for the 40th year in a row. We arrive in good time on Saturday and stay over until Sunday. I have to go there once every summer and experience the party to be there. Hugs & Have a good time.

Glad you are on Öland! We have just come home from there after a few days in Löttorp where we visited relatives. We were looking for Freedomtravel in case we would roll past each other but unfortunately.
