We have been working on the boiler room in our houseboat every evening, and now our (extra) wardrobe is almost complete! On the right-hand side, we have built shoe shelves, and on the left-hand side, we have built shelves with drawers from Granit. Here, we now store everything from tablecloths and fur hats to workout gear and jewellery.

On the left you see the water heater, in the centre the washing machine and on the right the electric boiler, which will power the radiators and underfloor heating. The picture below shows what it looked like before ...
Nice to be able to unpack
Now we have finally been able to unpack! Near the door on the left side, we also have hanging space for long clothes, such as coats and dresses. It's nice to finally unpack the last moving box!

Just one thing....where are raised mouldings around the shelves so that things don't slide off in the wave of blue... 😉.

Frankie & Co, glad you like it! We don't actually have those raised mouldings anywhere, not in the kitchen either. It doesn't seem to be needed, and doesn't seem like anyone has in the houseboats here. If Simone had come, it might have been a different matter... but it seems to happen so rarely....

On board a boat, I imagined rubber boots and fishing gear, rather than a whole row of fancy shoes. But the fishing equipment is probably in the nice white round boxes. 😉
But what an incredible transformation of the boat it has become! You guys are super talented!

Very nice and very practical. In a boat, you want to maximise the use of all spaces. You have really got good storage. I would need extra shelves for shoe storage.

How nice it turned out! That's more storage than you can fit in many other homes! But then of course you have to be as smart as you and come up with such clever solutions! 🙂

en: The Mexican food at that time (21 years ago...) was different. More spicy, and if I remember correctly, a bit more "rich" with more cheese, some kind of brown beans and mixtures. And corn bread of course. I don't know how I would experience the food today, but then I thought everything I ate was delicious 😉.

It was a very nice and practical solution! The advantage of not having so much space is that you have to make good use of what you have, and you seem to have succeeded in doing so!

There are all the nice party shoes lined up I see 🙂 By the way, sure you would like the outdoor life in Dubai. It is trendy and always good DJ's and quite strict dress codes where you would get use of all your nice party outfits!
