Glasgow - visit to an ancient university

My supervisor and I arrived in Edinburgh roughly on schedule, where we were picked up by car by one of the PhD students at the University of Glasgow. Then we arrived at the magnificent University of Glasgow. Wow, what ancient buildings to study and research in!

An intensive day at the University of Glasgow

Me and my main supervisor (I'm a PhD student) are in Glasgow to meet a research group working on similar issues as us (eating and exercise habits among adults with intellectual disabilities). It has been a very intense and interesting afternoon, with presentations and discussions.

Botanical garden

This morning we have taken a morning walk in the botanical garden here in Glasgow. Nice, although it was a bit chilly and damp in the air.

Scottish specialities

Yesterday we had dinner at a nice restaurant here in Glasgow called Ubuquitios Chip. I ate a bird (I don't know which one and have forgotten the name), but I also got to taste haggis, you know the Scottish speciality made from intestines, like liver and lung. It does not sound so good perhaps, but it was not as bad as you might think actually.

Hilton hotel

We spent the night in each of our nice hotel rooms at the Hilton (we had intended to stay more simply, but our hospitable hosts insisted on offering).
