During February, we wanted to know how our readers prefer to travel on holiday, and it was without a doubt - by motorhome! A total of 75 people voted, with 72% preferring to travel by motorhome. It's great to see that we have so many readers with motorhomes. But also nice that other adventurers find their way here!

Very interesting statistics, one would think that most of the EU pensioners are on the move this winter! We have never seen so many camper vans as this winter! The campsites are overcrowded, as are all the deserted sites here in Spain. "I don't understand why they don't invest in more pitches in France, Portugal and Spain as in Germany. Registered motorhomes are in the traffic authority's register in each country, you wouldn't think that the motorhomes are parked at home" 😉.

I have now had a motorhome since 2001 and the longing in the spring to go out, just gets bigger and bigger for each year that passes 😉.

Lena & Jan, interesting to hear that there are so many motorhomes in Europe this winter! Maybe more and more people are discovering that it's nice to hibernate... and then the countries need to adapt to that of course!
Across the board, I recognise what you describe! This is exactly how we have experienced the motorhome! It has become a little smaller since we bought the houseboat, but the motorhome is still the perfect way to get away!
