Saturday night we spent at Oyster Bar, in Östermalm in Stockholm. Wow, how good and nice! We had an appetiser and starter, and then a fantastic seafood platter. There was also dessert!

I (Helena) received a restaurant visit for two as a present when I was graduatedand now it was finally time to utilise that gift. It was a great evening, with very good food!
Luxury seafood platter
We started with small appetisers with vendace roe and Skagenröra, and then we had a small (but fantastic) lobster soup. The main course was the smallest seafood platter: a platter with oyster, smoked prawns, fresh prawns and craband bread and four different sauces. Then we ended the party with a crème brulée. Absolutely wonderful to have the luxury of enjoying good food in this way!
Rating of the Oyster Bar? Rather ordinary decor perhaps, but very good seafood and very caring staff. Recommended for those who like seafood!

Thanks for the great tips! I have not been there, yet... What a great gift and nice to now in the middle of all travel plans, work and other things be able to treat yourself to a little extra good. Everything looked very good and I understand you were satisfied. Good staff is a good comfort factor as well.

Oh how delicious! Love seafood platters and especially the ones you get on the French Atlantic coast. Mmmm... Although their crayfish has been a disappointment though. Almost no flavour at all, carelessly prepared with too little salt. Hmm... Maybe it's crayfish when I think about it?

Oh, how lovely that sounds! Although I no longer eat oysters (allergy to citrus and without lemon they don't taste the same anymore, unfortunately. Used to love oysters.), the seafood is very tempting. I will be in Stockholm before Christmas to visit my son who lives in Östermalm, so close and good! Thanks for the tip and have a good weekend!

Lena in Wales, fits well when her son lives in Östermalm! We actually don't usually eat the oysters with lemon, but preferably with some kind of sauce. At Oyster Bar they served them with a vinegar dressing.

Sounds delicious with seafood and the like! There are many good places in Stockholm, say son and wife who have just been home. And right now, several interesting places have opened in the south. Your plans for the long trip seem interesting. It's something completely different to go away for so long compared to taking a trip for a week or two.
