Some days are nicer than others to live in a houseboat in the Pampas marina. The air is still cold, but we've had several days of clear blue skies and bright sunshine. The ducks are flocking around our boat and people are sitting outside the Sea Restaurant enjoying the sun. So far, only the icebreaker occasionally chugs by, but soon the water will probably be filled with other boats as well.

Tomorrow we will arrive in March, the first month of spring, but according to SMHI, spring has already started in many parts of Sweden. According to their meteorological definition, it is spring when the average daily temperature is between 0 and +10 degrees Celsius, if this occurs after 15 February.
I've seen a lot of pictures of spring flowers on social media. Here in Pampas marina we have completely different signs of spring. Yesterday afternoon the sun was strong on Sjökrogen, and lots of people were sitting outside enjoying the spring heat with a coffee or a glass of wine. That has to be the most reliable sign of spring here. Have you seen any signs of spring yet?

Yes, think what a little sun can do! Here it's still spring I guess, although we picked funnel weed this week. Soon it will start blooming in full on the hills towards the sea. Then it's spring! The flowers will have wilted by summer.

Here in Denmark, there are many small signs of spring, such as eager birds and spring flowers making their presence felt.
But it looks like there will be some snow this week. So winter is trying one last time 🙂

Here we have signs of spring all year round. If you just see some Englishmen in their shorts, you can be fooled into thinking it's warmer than it is. They don't seem to have long trousers and long sleeves in their wardrobes, Englishmen... 😉.
Yes, and then the snow that we saw a few days ago is gone now 😀.

Steve, there are quite a few nice, quiet and green oases in Stockholm! Many times it can be enough to go into an alley or turn a corner, and it's suddenly impossible to imagine that you're in a big city 😉.

And here in the city you can see that several outdoor restaurants have opened and are very popular.
Other signs of spring are flowers emerging from the flowerbeds along Årstaviken's various allotment areas, people working on their boats, lots of people out walking and sitting on benches soaking up the sun and enjoying spring. At least it is visiting.

There's a bit of dust in the air as the cars drive, the sand hasn't been swept up yet, tulip leaves are popping up in the flower beds, the wind is chilly and the sun is warm. I hope it's Spring now.
