Guest ports in Lithuania and Kaliningrad

In Lithuania you will find marinas, both in Klaipeda and further south in the Curonian Sea, which is bordered by the Curonian Spit. There are also several marinas in the Russian enclave of Kaliningrad. The guest harbours here are located on the approach to the city as well as in the city of Kaliningrad itself.

Guest harbours in Poland

Several guest harbours are located along the Baltic Sea coast in Poland, especially in the Bay of Gdansk where they are densely packed. If you sail into the Oder Lagoon and up towards Szczecin, you will also find plenty of harbours.

We jumped aboard the sailboat in Mt. Swinoujscie in Poland. There is a large and nice marina with room for lots of boats (you can only see a small corner of it in the picture). At the harbour there is a service house, a restaurant and also a parking space for motorhomes. The location is good and you have walking distance to the centre, a nice park and attractions in the form of two forts.

We then sailed through Oder lagoons and until Szczecin, where we were greeted by a festival and wonderful summer atmosphere. The marina in Szczecin is located right in the centre of the city with a perfect location to experience the city. We also had a front row seat as we watched the city's fireworks from the deck!

Guest harbours in eastern Germany

In Germany, guest harbours are densely packed along the Baltic Sea, all the way from the island of Usedom and westwards past the island Rügen. During our trip we stopped at three of these: Krummin, Kröslin and Greifswald.

Guest harbour in Krummin is very cosy. The harbour is called a natural harbour and there is a nice little restaurant with a view of the boats. There is not much in the neighbourhood, but we made a nice bike ride to Freest and Wolgast.

Kröslin marinaor Kröslin Baltic Sea Resort as it is also called, is a five-star marina, where you can see many fine sailing boats. There are also floating villas for rent as well as a restaurant and bar, a harbour office, a sailing shop and a fresh service building.

Guest harbour in Greifswald is located in the river Ryck, and it is really nice to come this way by sailboat. There are service houses at the harbour and along the river you will find several nice houseboat restaurants. It is also a short walk to the beautiful town, which offers a lot of Swedish history.
