New test centre for PCR and antigen tests for COVID-19 at Landvetter, Sweden

Now that the world is slowly opening up, there is great demand for PCR and antigen tests and the issuing of travel certificates at the airport. Swedavia has signed a contract with ExpressCare for a test centre at Göteborg Landvetter Airport, from 7 June. ExpressCare performs tests around the clock. The response time for PCR tests is 2-4 hours and for antigen tests 30-60 minutes. Different rules apply in different countries regarding when the test must be taken and the format of the travel certificate. The traveller is responsible for checking what applies to the individual trip.

New forecast: lack of foreign travel could boost Swedish tourism already this year

In a recent analysis by Visit Sweden from Oxford Economics, the outlook for Swedish tourism looks better than it did just a few months ago. And better than for other countries in Europe. Sweden is in fifth place among European countries with the greatest chance of recovering the total volume of tourism through domestic tourism. For the vast majority of countries in Europe, the net number of tourists appears to be negative. However, five countries stand out positively in the forecast: Sweden, Finland, Germany, Poland and Romania.

Sembo launches ready-made road trips

Car holidays are predicted to be the most popular form of holiday this summer if Swedes are allowed to choose. The travel company Sembo is now launching over 100 different ready-made road trips in Europe, including 26 in Sweden, where travellers can easily choose between, for example, a culinary trip through Skåne or a visit to the pearls of the west coast. The traveller simply books their car holiday based on pre-compiled car holiday proposals.

Elmia Husvagn Husbil 2021 cancelled - aiming for 2022

Elmia Husvagn Husbil is the Nordic region's largest trade fair for everyone who loves mobile life. Due to the current restrictions and its impact on public gatherings, the fair 2021 will not be able to take place. Work for next year's fair, 7-11 September 2022, is already underway. The decision has been made after careful consideration and in dialogue with the Swedish Caravan Association, HRF and the Caravan Club of Sweden.

Reflection of the week

We have been waiting a long time for the final decision from Elmia Husvagn Husbil, and now it has arrived. In these times, it is of course difficult to plan something as extensive as a large fair. We simply have to look forward to Elmia 2022!
