Nice weekend on Ringsö

We really had a wonderful Midsummer weekend on Ringsö in Mälaren, where our friends Lennart and Beata have a summer house. We stayed the whole weekend and there were a few more photos, which I have to show. How beautiful it can be in Sweden!

Lennart and Peter are also pictured here driving the boat. There is no ferry connection to Ringsö, so everyone who has a summer house or is a year-round resident has their own boat. Among the (few) year-round residents are also those who own things like hovercrafts or hydrocopters. Otherwise it's tricky to live on an island in winter!

At the end of the rainbow

Suddenly there was a heavy rain storm and with it a fantastic rainbow. We saw the rainbow in the middle of our friends' garden. I have never seen a rainbow so close before. The end of the rainbow was just a few metres in front of our feet!

The following picture was taken from a wide-angle perspective. A rainbow of its own in the garden! But we haven't found the treasure ... yet.

Press trips back on track

Now that the pandemic has entered a calmer phase and many people have been vaccinated, press trips are starting to pick up. For all destinations, it is now important to get tourists again! We are going on a mini press trip already this weekend, and have another exciting press trip coming up. We will tell you more soon!

Best this week

The best thing this week was the wonderful midsummer weekend on Ringsö. It is also exciting right now with everything that is happening around web shops and magazine publishing. Of course, we'll tell you more about that soon too! What can you highlight as positive from your week?

The week ahead

In addition to this little mini-press trip, we will soon be travelling to Blidö in the Stockholm archipelago, where Peter's older brother and his wife live. Otherwise, we will stay at home in Stockholm for a few weeks. Here on the blog it will (besides the press trip and Blidö) be about Öland and squid.
