The last few days, after the Elmia fair, have felt like the calm after the storm. We have been completely exhaustedand mostly wandered around in a haze. But there is a new washing machine, and now it's time for a cruise. Happy Friday!

What a week at Elmia!
Elmia Husvagn Husbil is not like any other trade fair - it's five intense days packed with activities and meetings with people. And if, like us, you decide to be a partner in organising an entire hall (Destination Square), the days are full, so to speak ...
Being able to walk around and look at the halls was really not easy, but it was still a story about Motorhomes at Elmia 2023 and one about unique vehicles and caravans at Elmia 2023.
Otherwise, of course, we mostly hung out at Destinationstorget and on Sunday, when the fair was over, it was time to stow all the fair material in the motorhome and roll up to Stockholm ...
The calm after the storm
When we got home to Pampas marina, where we live in our houseboat, it was really like coming to the calm after the storm. But of course there has been work anyway! We have carried, carried, shopped and grabbed jobs ...
Finally a new washing machine
Among other things, we have picked up our new washing machine. We finally got the old washing machine out., by dismantling it in small parts. The stairs down to the lower deck were too narrow!
We then ordered a new washing machine - an Electrolux with extra narrow dimensions. Did we get it into the houseboat? Yes, it was fine, but it was... on the hair. It was also heavy!
But eventually we got it all in - the bridge, the gangway, through the kitchen, down the narrow stairs and into the boiler room/wardrobe. Now it was "just" to plug in and get everything straight. But shame on anyone who gives up!
Time for a cruise!
When you read this, we are on a cruise. Finnlines has a brand new ferry, Finnsirius, which starts to run the route Kapellskär - Helsinki. Åland – Naantali. The new ferry will be something completely different than the previous ones, with a restaurant deck, panoramic windows and a spa. We are on board to test and report. Some first greetings will surely come on Instagram on @freedomtravelnewsand soon there will be reports here on freedomtravel.se.
Best this week
Best thing this week? Well, it's that we finally have a working washing machine again. And a nice black one at that. Now it's time to wash clothes!
