Different chassis
There are major component shortages and delivery delays, and one of the hardest things to get on time right now is Fiat chassis. So all sorts of other types of chassis have become popular. Motorhomes just suddenly look different! Below you see a Weinsberg with a Mercedes chassis.
Stooora mobile homes
Not all motorhomes are big, but the big ones are noticeable, as usual. Among other things, Morelo showcases huge vehicles, some of which are equipped with garages for smaller cars.
Campers
Campers - camping modules attached to a pickup truck - have never been a big thing in Sweden, but interest is growing as more and more people become curious about alternatives for experiencing nature. For example, models with a side door have become popular. S Karosser AB has now been acquired by Kabe, but will continue to produce and deliver from Swedish Dorotea.
Small caravans
Small camping cars, or campervans, are a type of vehicle that is becoming more and more popular. Mercedes produces the Marco Polo, which offers a small sleek and cool car with a kitchen and camping shower.
Slide-outs
Slide-outs, i.e. walls that slide out in caravans, have long been popular in the US. It is not as popular in Europe, but is also available here. Below is the Tabbert Cellini 750 HDT 2.5 Slide Out.
Gadgets, gadgets ...
At Elmia Husvagn Husbil, a lot of stuff is of course also on display. There are tents and camping accessories, as well as clothes, shoes, sausages, olives and all sorts of other things. The difference this year is that the usual tent is not present, but that everything has moved into the exhibition halls.
What about us? Our best seller is Skinner's shoe sock, which works perfectly as a bathing shoe, and which we sell at a really good price. But, our biggest ambition for the fair is not about selling gadgets. The most important thing for us is to lecture, and to meet friends and readers.
The fair continues

Sure, you get excited when you see all the nice new cars! But it is an economic issue as well. Right now we have no opportunity to change us, so FREEDOM will have to hang on for a while longer 😉.

The best thing this week has probably been to get to Elmia and that my male owner met other acquaintances and blog friends. To then also take part in Helena's lecture on the Czech Republic was also interesting as that country is in my owners' thoughts. Will also be more lectures to take part in.
What has been a little more negative is the enormous prices we motorhomes now cost. With some equipment, most go for a bit over 2 million.

Best of the week? A bit of everything, but maybe mostly that I, at 73, have received various job offers that are exciting. Maybe I'll bite on a couple. It remains to be seen if my back wants it.
