Motorhomes and e-bikes are ready for adventure

We are soooo ready for adventure now! One should not travel so far from home in these times, but there is plenty to discover in the local area. Now both the motorhome and the electric bikes are ready for adventure, although we will continue to fix the motorhome for a while. Happy Friday!

Motorhomes and electric bikes

This week there has been a lot of focus on the motorhome, which we picked up from winter storage in Värmland, and on rebuilding the motorhome's garage for the electric bikes. The bikes will still be on the deck of the houseboat, but now we can take them with us in the motorhome whenever we want. It feels really fun!

What adventures are we planning?

We are starting to plan for adventures, but we are taking it pretty easy. Yesterday we made a first excursion with the motorhome to Tyresta National Parkbut only for the day. We'll spend a few more days fixing up the campervan before we hit the road in earnest. In the meantime, we are researching the surroundings. Exciting!

At home in the marina

Of course, we also spend a lot of time at home in our houseboat, but that doesn't mean we're bored. When you live in a houseboat, there's always something going on outside the windows, especially at this time of year. One evening while we were watching TV (the Finnish series Sorjonen on Netflix), a boat was being towed into the harbour with the help of the marina's boats.

The next day, as I was working at the computer in the kitchen, I saw something large glide past the kitchen window. What was that? Yes, it was the whole restaurant K4:as bridge that had been on the move and was now on its way back home.

Best this week

The best thing about this week is that we brought home our motorhome from winter storage in Värmland and that Peter rebuilt the motorhome's garage. Now we have much more order, and also we can get the electric bikes with us. It feels great! What has been the best part of your week?

The week ahead

During the coming week, we will continue to focus on the motorhome. Among other things, we will change several hatches and windows. There will probably also be a few more excursions, with a motorhome and/or electric bikes. In addition, we will soon publish a post about nice holiday routes in northern Germany. When Europe opens one day, it's close to rolling over to Germany and discovering their exciting theme roads.
