Want to try a really good brunch in Stockholm? Then we can recommend restaurant K4 in Pampas marina in Solna. As you may know, we live in a houseboat here. There is a restaurant down here in the marina and last spring it got new owners. We have long thought that we would visit the new restaurant, but it has not happened until Sunday, when the restaurant invited us residents to brunch. Wow, we just say! If you want high quality brunch in an idyllic setting - then you should definitely come here!

Brunch in Stockholm - in an idyllic setting
If you want to enjoy your brunch in an idyllic setting, we can promise you it's really nice here in the Pampas marina. Boats bob in the water and flags flutter in the wind, while those of us who live here run up and down the docks with grocery bags and dogs. Here is the restaurant K4 (see website), overlooking the water, the jetties, pleasure boats and houseboats.

The previous restaurant closed at the beginning of the year, and restaurant K4 opened just before summer. We who live here were really happy. The new restaurant owners restored and rebuilt everything: new floor, new bar, new tables. Everywhere they have placed pots with flowers and spices. Really soooo cosy, and modern at the same time.
During the summer you could eat dinner here, but now it's lunch on weekdays and brunch on weekends. And the quality of the food has really gone up several notches!
Restaurant owners with long experience
The restaurant owners who opened here in the marina have not only this restaurant but several others, including Docklands in Finnboda in Nacka. Katharina, the restaurant manager, has worked in the industry for twenty years, both in the USA and in Östermalm. "Even though she has tried fine restaurants, it has never been as much fun as it is now, when she can be in charge and make sure everything is good," she reveals.
Brunch in Stockholm - with quality
Every weekend, restaurant K4 serves brunch, between 12:00 and 16:00. We are quite picky when it comes to buffets, but we can say that this one is really good! The buffet is not overly large, but everything is cooked with care and beautifully presented. We found smoked prawns, marinated meat, savoury scrambles and many different vegetable dishes. In the small window by the kitchen, there are also more hot dishes such as mini burgers, chicken thighs and scrambled eggs.
What's happening at Restaurant K4 this summer?
Right now they serve lunch on weekdays and brunch on weekends, but during the summer months they also serve dinner. The focus is on grilled and smoked food - but the smokehouse was delayed last summer, so it won't come until next summer!
Otherwise, the focus is on local produce and quality over quantity. There will also be live music and DJs. You can already rent the venue for parties if you want. And as I said, don't forget to come here for brunch!

The regular a la carte menu has just stopped being served for the season. Now it's lunch of the day on weekdays and brunch on weekends.

The buffet is not excessively large, you write? I think it seems like it's enough and will be left over 😉 So many tasty things!
But surely it is a bit strange that what is "too close" takes so long before testing? We have a "new" restaurant / bar across the street that focuses on Indian and tex-max (yes, tex-mAx 😉 ), and we have not "managed" to test it yet. Too close, I think. It's not nearly as fancy as K4, but it sounds like an interesting combination... Haha! We like both, but probably prefer to test the things separately.

Hey, what fun when a restaurant raises itself several notches. When you come to Västerås, you can try another K, namely K9, which is only a few hundred metres from Ställplatsen in the harbour. They also run with Brunch during the winter on weekends. However, the dinners are available all year round. K9 is really good at seafood and fish. But also meat is of high quality that they hang butter themselves. When produced and locally grown.

How nice that the pub invited all the residents of the marina for lunch! Having such a neighbourhood restaurant around the "houseboat knot" is absolutely superb!
I really like the decor, and the lamps are incredibly beautiful. And the buffet - well, better quality than quantity, I'd say.

What a nice tip! In the past we have been here and eaten from time to time. Fun now with new owners and nice brunch we like to eat. Have tried Docklands and if it is the same owner, K2 is probably also a successful concept.
The environment is also very nice. And there are not so many really good brunches at reasonably reasonable prices. Enticing pictures!
One of my favourite brunches is Berna Asian. But then the cost goes up too...

Brunch is a nice concept, but for us small town dwellers, it's something we have to try to fix ourselves during free weekends. K4's buffet looked really lovely and I think the selection is really enough and is left over. Nice to have that opportunity so close by.
