Hobo hotel at Brunkebergstorg
Hobo is centrally located in Stockholm, at Brunkebergstorg 4, close to shopping, restaurants and T-Centralen. You can of course stay here, but you can also drop by for food, a drink or a moment at the bar.
During our visit, we were captivated by the relaxed environment. Green plants, furniture in different colors and a cozy lobby gave the hotel a personal feel. A little cool and creative, but at the same time pleasant and easy to feel at home in.
We haven't stayed at Hobo ourselves, so our report is about the food and environment we experienced during our visit.
Our brunch at Hobo hotel
We visited Hobo in June 2017, when the hotel was still newly opened. After a travel blogger event in Stockholm, we met with some travel blogger friends for brunch on the hotel's outdoor terrace.
The weather was fantastic and we were able to sit outside in the sun and talk in peace and quiet. I, Helena, chose scrambled eggs with cold smoked salmon and buttered toast. Really good! Peter had a shrimp sandwich with avocado, watercress and horseradish, which was also appreciated.
It was a very pleasant time with good food and lots of conversation. We haven't been back since, and the dishes in the pictures are from this visit.
Food and bar at Hobo today
Hobo still has a bar and restaurant, but the offerings have changed since our brunch. Today, the hotel describes the food as a mix of Southern European influences, Swedish ingredients and familiar favorites. The restaurant's website mentions toasts, raw steak and pizza, among other things.
The bar is also a venue for music and events, with DJ nights and live performances, for example.
However, we can't find any current information about regular brunch on the hotel's own website. Our visit should therefore be seen as a memory from 2017. Check Hobo's website for current menus, events and opening hours before your visit.
ROOF – restaurant and view over Stockholm
Adjacent to Hobo is TAK, with a restaurant, bar and rooftop terrace. Here Nordic ingredients meet Japanese flavors and cooking methods.
Hobo's hotel breakfast is served at TAK on the 13th floor, with views of Stockholm. We didn't visit TAK during our brunch, but it might be an option for those who want to combine food or a drink with a view of the city.

Hobo's central location makes it easy to combine a visit with a day in the city. Within walking distance are, for example, Kungsträdgården, shopping around Sergels torg and Hötorget. Here you will find more of our tips:

How nice with a report from here Hobo. Have been up as quickly as possible on the terrace and it gave more flavour. Will also try a brunch here. Very good prices too, which is not at all wrong.
It's nice to have a bit of an afterthought, too.

Haha, oh, does that mean hobo? I had no idea ... Would be interesting to know how they thought when they chose the name! 🙂 And yes, I can understand that you miss Swedish prawns! That was one thing we missed when we travelled around Europe in the motorhome for a year. There are a lot of goodies around Europe, but shrimps that taste like the Swedish ones, there are not ...
