Bookings to Thailand increase

Despite the economic situation, Swedes are still keen to travel, especially to Thailand. Bookings in recent weeks have doubled compared to the weeks before and are now back at the same levels as before the pandemic. One reason may be the relatively low price level in the country. TUI also notices that Swedes are choosing to stay away longer than usual. Other trends that TUI notices is a great interest in All inclusive.

United Airlines returns to Arlanda with New York route

US airline and Star Alliance member United Airlines is returning to Stockholm Arlanda Airport, resuming the popular route to its hub at Newark in New York from 28 May 2023. The airline is returning to the Swedish capital for the first time since 2019, having previously operated the route for 14 years from 2005. United will operate the Stockholm Arlanda Airport (ARN) - Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) route daily from 28 May, using a Boeing 757-200.

Stockholm Arlanda Airport won the battle for the best shrimp sandwich.

Last week, Catarina "Matfashionistan" König and Johan "Matgeek" Hedberg sampled ten prawn sandwiches from Arlanda and Göteborg Landvetter Airport to select the best prawn sandwich for Räkmackan Day. In the end, it was Arlanda that took the victory. According to the jury, the best shrimp sandwich came from the Eatery restaurant in Terminal 5 at Arlanda, and the deciding factor was the quality, bread and flavour in relation to the price.

Reflection of the week

We like the development of camping sites on nice farms, with, for example, nature experiences and good food! We'd like to try the site at Siggesta Farm. And why not a prawn sandwich at Arlanda on occasion?
