First Camp acquires its 15th destination in Denmark

First Camp continues its record-breaking growth in the Danish market. Now we are acquiring Tempelkrogen Family Camping on Zealand. Tempelkrogen will be First Camp's second destination on Zealand, after having CampOne Holbaek Fjord acquired earlier this spring, the 15th in Denmark and First Camp's 69th destination in total. The campsite is located about 45 minutes' drive from Copenhagen and has 220 camping pitches and 17 cabins/apartments. The takeover is planned for the end of May/June.

Rush for weekend travel during the spring holidays

Spring 2023 offers a lot of red days. Many Swedes chose to travel in connection with Valborg and May Day, and in the coming weeks we have both Ascension Day and National Day ahead of us, giving us the opportunity to enjoy a four-day long weekend by using a single holiday day. Bookings for these weekends have increased by 38 per cent compared to 2019, and Ticket has identified the most popular destinations:

  3. Nice
  4. Paris
  5. Rome

Flight searches to Albania's capital have tripled

New statistics from the hotel and travel search website momondo show that flight searches to Tirana in Albania According to Per Christiansen, spokesperson at momondo, the Balkan countries are trending as more wallet-friendly holiday destinations this year. In addition to Tirana, flight searches to destinations such as Podgorica in Montenegro (204 per cent) and Skopje in North Macedonia (165 per cent) has skyrocketed ahead of summer 2023.

SAS launches direct route to Agadir in Morocco

For the first time since spring 2019, it will now be possible to fly regularly with SAS directly from Arlanda to the coastal city. Agadirwith its long white sandy beaches and pleasant winter climate, is a popular destination among Europeans. The first departure is scheduled for 4 November this year and the route will operate once a week, on Saturdays, throughout the winter season until the end of March 2024 with the fuel-efficient Airbus A320neo, which can accommodate up to 180 passengers.

One in four prepared to spend more than usual on holiday

Despite a weaker economy, Swedes will not cut back on summer holidays this year. Quite the contrary. Many Swedes are said to want to invest more in their summer holidays than to cut back on them, according to a new SIFO survey commissioned by AB Göta Kanalbolag. According to the survey, almost one in four people say they intend to spend more money on their summer holiday this year than last year. How we spend our money on our summer holidays:

  • More this year - 23%

FlixBus lists its most popular destinations in Europe

On the occasion of Europe Day, FlixBus took the opportunity to recognise its extensive network across Europe with over 2,000 destinations. The longest FlixBus route is 3,173.14 km long and runs between Bucharest and Bordeaux. Here are the most popular FlixBus destinations in 2022:

  1. Berlin - 2.1 million passengers
  2. Paris - almost 2 million passengers
  3. Prague - 1.2 million passengers
  4. Brussels - 800 000 passengers
  5. Lisbon - 750 000 passengers

Dalhalla offers more experiences this summer

Dalhalla has become known for concerts and has had daily guided tours in previous summers. Now the offer is being expanded further. The restaurant, which is usually only open on concert nights, will be open on more occasions. The evening begins with a guided tour and before the three-course dinner, guests can experience the VIP area. Those who wish can book an overnight stay at Dalhalla's glamping site or a pitch for those travelling with a motorhome or caravan.
