Polar celebrates 60 years and launches unique anniversary carriages

Polar is one of Sweden's leading manufacturers of caravans and for the 2023/2024 season the company is celebrating its first 60 years in the industry. To mark the occasion, exclusive anniversary caravans are being launched. The spacious Black Line 730 caravan is available in two layouts and features a double fridge, display cabinet, oven, microwave and corner kitchen. The anniversary series also includes the Blue Line with three different carriages. In 2023, Polar and dealers will invite customers and the public to 60th anniversary parties across the country.

Poor economy slows down new registrations of caravans and motorhomes

Sales of both caravans and motorhomes are down compared to the previous year. Higher interest rates and a weak currency that has led to price increases are having a negative impact on new registrations. "The decline we saw at the beginning of 2023 continues", says Per Nilsson, chairman of the Swedish Caravan and Motorhome Association. However, interest in second-hand vehicles remains high.

  • Caravan registrations July 2023: 232 caravans (compared to 371 in the same month last year)
  • Motorhome registrations July 2023: 294 mobile homes (compared to 387 in the same month last year)
