For us, this week has been characterised by winter, weekdays and local adventures. Everyday life and routines have their advantages, but it's also nice to break away and do something else sometimes, don't you think? Happy Friday!

Winter days in Stockholm - and in our marina

What winter days! The last few days have certainly been a little warmer, at least during the day, but still. So beautiful with all the snow, and when the sun comes out, it's fantastic!

We understand everyone who complains about the cold and slippery conditions (we do too from time to time!) but we still enjoy the beautiful views. The winter light through the windows is lovely, and we usually manage to get out for a long walk every day.

If you're wondering how we live in the houseboat in winter, we can tell you that it's great. We have underfloor heating, radiators and an air source heat pump, so we don't get cold. Here we've written a bit more about winter boating..

Work, meetings, walks, cooking ... and repeat!

Our everyday life right now consists of work, meetings, walks and cooking. When we're travelling, we always only have time to... just to publish something for the next day. All the maintenance work on the site (yes, it's a lot!) suffers. Now we're trying to organise and catch up with all that, and it's a never-ending stream of tasks.

The breaks consist of meetings with partners (in person or by video link), walks and cooking. Well, it's Peter who does the cooking. He is love really standing in the kitchen. I (Helena) "help" by eating the food. Sometimes I take a photo too ...

A local adventure

This week we have made an excursion in our neighbourhood, a so-called "local adventure". As you know, you don't always have to go so far for it to be exciting and interesting. The adventure included a journey in the Stockholm metro and we'll tell you more on Sunday!
