Last Thursday was the day of Travel News Market 2025 – the travel industry's major annual trade fair and meeting place in Stockholm. We have been there every time since the event started in 2016, and for us this is an important day for maintaining and creating contacts and collaborations in the industry.

Travel News Market 2025
Travel News Market 2025 was held at Annexet at Globen. This is a B2B (business-to-business) trade fair and an opportunity for companies in the travel industry to meet: destinations, travel agencies, tour operators, airlines, cruise companies, journalists and travel writers.

Our 9th visit to Travel News Market
Travel News Market is usually held in November or December, and fascinatingly enough, we have managed to attend every single event since it started in 2016. In 2020, the fair was cancelled due to COVID-19, but every other year it has been an active and engaging event.

Meetings with destinations and travel companies
Travel News Market is a day for meetings with destinations and travel companies. We usually spend the whole day walking around among the exhibitors, both to get inspiration and to discuss possible collaborations.

This year it was a extremely An intense and rewarding day. We met lots of destinations, travel companies, travel writers and friends. It was so intense that we barely had time to take photos.
Among others, we spoke with France, Greece, Kosovo, Croatia, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, the Czech Republic and Austria, as well as various hotels and cruise lines.

Mingle at the Travel News Market
For us, it's not just about networking with destinations and travel companies, but also about keeping in touch with other travel writers. We met many journalists and bloggers (even from Norway and Finland!), but unfortunately we didn't take many photos because we were so busy talking... Marlene and Martin from Jikitas on an Adventure At least I ended up in the picture!

Is there any event that is important to you during the year, for networking or inspiration?

I seem to remember that Travel News Market was held at Waterfront before. Was this the first time the exhibition was held at Annexet this year? In any case, I see that the event was well attended. Great!
And you're showing off the caftan from Uzbekistan too. Oh, and Daniela's outfit pattern is reminiscent of Peter's jacket/coat. Well, not the colours, but the pattern.

Good memory there! Yes, Travel News Market has changed location this year. We don't know why. It was a little less central now, but still okay! Yes, the Uzbekistan outfit came along! 🙂 And nice that you noticed Daniela's stylish outfit too! 🙂

Hello! I am relatively new to travelling by motorhome and must say that it would be desirable if the travel industry could influence the authorities to promote a simpler way of travelling. Currently, one must have different gas bottles, there are different warning signs, or there must be a warning puck, etc. Imagine if a single system could be established throughout Europe.

This Travel News Market is enjoyable. I have been here many times before and received an invitation again this year, but chose to decline. When I had the blog and also worked for a travel agency, it felt especially enjoyable, but now I am somewhat ”done” with that.
It was enjoyable to read your post.
Event? That word doesn't really feel relevant. But I have the ”Walking Club” every Wednesday, and those of us who are members attend various ”events” every Thursday. It's about food/restaurants, theatre, literature, art and much more. And many of the members work in these industries. I'm also part of a book club where some of us who met in Beijing have continued since we moved home. It's very rewarding.
Regular weekly get-togethers with friends, doing a bit of everything, are also very rewarding. That's how the weeks are filled.
Tomorrow we're off to Tenerife, and a little sun and warmth will feel good right now.
Wishing you a wonderful first Advent.

When I see the pictures from Travel News Market, I miss the big travel fair that was held annually in Gothenburg. Back then, we also had the chance to visit different destinations and get lots of inspiration.
