We have been scouting out motorhomes and caravans at Elmia Husvagn Husbil 2026. This year, many models from many manufacturers were on display, and of course we can only show a tiny selection. Here we tell you about five vehicles that in one way or another caught our interest a little extra.

Motorhomes and caravans at Elmia 2026
How do you choose a motorhome or caravan? And how do you know what to look for at a fair like Elmia? It's not easy of course, and the best thing might be to look around a little bit without any preconceptions, to see what you like. And to ask questions, to both sellers and users!
We've seen a lot of motorhomes and caravans over the years, so we looked for things that stood out a bit, for example in terms of layout, design or price.

1. Bravia Swan 599 Narvik – cozy sheet ice, also for winter use
There were many tin signs on display at Elmia Husvagn Husbil 2026. One that caught my interest a little more was Bravia Swan 599 Narvik. This is a compact plate ice built on the Peugeot Boxer.
The layout is quite classic for a 6-meter flat, but I was captivated by the soft tones and homely atmosphere. Despite the limited size, I immediately felt that ”I could thrive here”.

Brief facts about Bravia Swan 599 Narvik
- Length: 5.99m
- Permissible total weight: 3 500 kg
- Number of belted seats: 4
- Number of beds: 2+2
- Unique features: Unlike the standard Swan 599, Narvik is built to withstand harsh Nordic winters.
- Basic price: 1,037,700 SEK
What's special about the Narvik variant is that it's winter-ready. This includes better insulation, better heat capacity, insulated and heated pipes and grey water tank, extra warm air in the seating area and heated front seats.

2. Dethleffes XL A 7827-2 – spacious alcove car with cross bed
This camper caught our interest as soon as we saw it because it has something we very rarely see in campers longer than 6 meters: a transverse double bed in the back.

Short facts about the Dethleffs XL A 7827-2
- Length: 8.56 n
- Permissible total weight: 5,400 kg
- Number of belted seats: 6
- Number of beds: 6
- Unique features: Spacious family motorhome with large kitchen and cross bed in the back. Approved for six people on the go, including the driver.
- Basic price: 1,649,000 SEK
This is a really big and spacious family motorhome, where you can both travel and sleep up to six people. You can also pack a lot here. There is a large garage and double floor with extra compartments, and the high permissible total weight means that you have a lot of margin in terms of weight.

3. Lume Traveler Expedition – luxurious aluminum trolley for dream trips
When you see Lume Traveler Expedition It's impossible not to catch your breath. This isn't just any caravan and the riveted aluminium body almost gives off an Airstream or airplane vibe.

Short facts about Lume traveler Expedition
- Length: 5.40 m (body), 6.94 m (total, incl. drawbar)
- Permissible total weight: 2,500 kg
- Number of belted seats: N/A
- Number of beds: 2 (Option can provide extra sleeping space in the seating area)
- Unique features: Outdoor kitchen and panoramic roof above the bed.
- Basic price: 99,950 euros
The whole design makes you think of a ”hotel suite on wheels” rather than camping. Here, the kitchen has moved out completely and is hidden behind a large hatch in the back. When the hatch is opened, you get a complete outdoor kitchen with a roof over your head.
Inside, there is plenty of space for a large seating area, a 180-centimeter-wide Auping bed and an enormous panoramic roof. Here, the idea is to be able to lie down and look up at the starry sky above…

4. Bürstner Papillon PC 6.0 – plate ice with low entry price
Bürstner Papillon PC 6.0 is going against the grain in a way. Instead of stuffing in more and more equipment, Bürstner has stripped down and let the buyer choose what is actually needed. The basic version has two belted seats and two beds, but can be expanded for both more passengers and sleepers. The result is a simple 6-meter flatbed with an unusually low entry price.

Brief facts about the Bürstner Papillon PC 6.0
- Length: 5.99m
- Permissible total weight: 3 500 kg
- Number of belted seats: 2 (Optional: Up to 4)
- Number of beds: 2 (Optional: Up to 5)
- Unique features: A simple and stripped-down ice cream with a low entry price, but without some of the equipment that is usually included.
- Basic price: 664,900 SEK
What made us interested in this particular model was actually the price. You don't see many new models today priced under 700,000, and Bürstner is also a quality brand.
So you get a quality car at a reasonable price, but instead it's simplicity that counts and some of what is usually included has been stripped out. For example, there is room for a compressor cooler instead of a fixed refrigerator. There is also no LPG, and instead of a traditional gas stove you have an induction hob that can be powered via connected electricity or by using an inverter (not included).

5. Roller Team: Kronos Ford, Alkov, 290 M – with a cross bed and a giant garage
Roller Team Kronos 290 M is an alcove motorhome for those who want to take much more than just a camping table and chairs. The electrically adjustable bed above the garage means that the cargo space can be around 1.8 meters high, with room for, for example, motocross bikes, mountain bikes or even a quad bike.

Short facts about Kronos Ford Alkov 290 M
- Length: 7.43m
- Permissible total weight: 3,500kg / 4,100kg
- Number of belted seats: 5
- Number of beds: 5
- Unique features: Very large garage. The height of the garage can be increased further by sliding the bed up.
- Promotional price: 979,000 SEK
We also noticed this motorhome because it has a cross bed in the back, which we like. However, what sets this vehicle apart the most is not the cross bed – but the garage. There is also a spacious double bed in the alcove.

A fair – a lot going on
Elmia Husvagn Husbil is of course a lot about vehicles – but also about a lot of other things. This is not just a trade fair, but also a party, where you socialize, mingle, listen to lectures, take part in cooking inspiration, dance in long trains at Oktoberfest and much, much more…

Kul Tur i Natur says:
Nice fair. Although it was difficult to take in everything during a few hours on Thursday. I mostly checked out the Tin Cans and smaller caravans. But it was fun to be there and see the fair, which I understand has grown year by year.

So glad you were here! 🙂 It's certainly a special fair, with both a lot to see and a lot going on!

Nice to see some new thinking on layouts. I still don't understand why no one makes a layout without a seating area. The cabin chairs and a clever solution to make a table when they are turned over would have been enough for many. After all, you mostly sit outdoors 🙂

Agree
However, sometimes cozy in the evening! Makes it difficult. Straight backrests, minimal surface. Turned chairs! Pure joke. Looking for a larger dinette. Still cramped. My h car: 725×250. Still not enough. C hagman

Of course you want to see a few different solutions, different layouts suit different people! We sit inside quite often, we must say… (well, Norway and Sweden can be cold ;)) but it is extremely rare for more than four of us to sit indoors. We also want a solution that is unusual: a cross bed in a medium-sized motorhome and a larger kitchen 😉

I can imagine that it was both fun and interesting to see new motorhomes and caravans. I would have liked to upgrade but the price tag is high so it will have to be.

Yes, hehe, we've had the same camper for 19 years... We're really happy in it, luckily, it costs a lot of money to change. Then you don't have to change to a new one of course, the used market is also hot.
