Today you will be travelling by train through Switzerland. On Monday morning we started the journey that would take us from Stockholm to Nendaz in southern Switzerland. It was a journey that involved just over two hours by plane, just under three hours by train and then half an hour by bus. Despite a fairly long journey, it didn't feel slow at all. After a few days we want to start moving again, because we had an unplanned stop in Dubrovnik, the stay in Greece was a little shorter than we thought. It was still quite ok, Greece is still there. Left early from Thessaloniki to get as far up as possible. Had decided on a "driving day" so we left at 06.15. It was quiet on the roads and we quickly drove up to the border with Macedonia. The roads in Greece are very nice. It is probably our "road favourite" so far. 🙂

In the summer of 2014, we lifted the entire houseboat on land and did a complete renovation that included new construction of the entire upper floor, new panelling everywhere and a new balcony floor on the deck. But of course a houseboat requires maintenance! We've decided that it's best to do a little each year, and this year it was time to paint the deck and lining.

Sometimes you don't have to go so far to experience the world. Last Sunday we went to Veddesta in Järfälla outside Stockholm to look at a sofa bed and a chest of drawers. At the same time, we took the opportunity to visit the grocery store Matvärlden, which is also located here. We bought some small things, but above all we walked around and looked. Wow! It was like travelling around the world!

From Dubrovnik to Safari Beach, 16 kilometres. It should be pretty quick, we thought. Just blow down. NOT 🙂 We got stuck at the border crossing between Croatia and Montenegro. Nice to have a motorhome, I went to bed and read, Elias walked around in the car. The road further was under all criticism, we drove for about 45 km on European roads, luckily there were fantastic views and much to see during the journey. We passed Sveti Stefan and many nice cities.

Now we are almost halfway through our journey, on Saturday (read today) we have been out for 3 weeks and we then have the same amount of time left. Things happen that you have not planned for better or worse. It means that you have so many memories to deal with later. I think you benefit from the holiday well into the autumn when we sit and remember the trip. What may not feel so funny at the moment, usually becomes a good laugh later.
