Yesterday, I showed pictures of our houseboat with a light covering of snow. Shortly afterwards, it arrived. real winter and struck, with snow chaos in Stockholm. We woke up with the houseboat lying at an angle in the water and it was actually quite nice to have something else to think about than, well you know ... that election.

Inga and Richard Sundell are a married couple who lived ordinary lives in Stockholm with ordinary jobs, but felt they needed a timeout from the squirrel wheel. So they decided to take a sabbatical. They quit their respective jobs, packed their backpacks and headed off to Asia. They have now been travelling for several months, spending time in Bali, Japan and Vietnam.

The trip down to the Caravan Club's member meeting in Kristinehamn was... much more dramatic than expected, but when we woke up on Saturday morning we were still determined to do the lecture about our campervan journey through Europe. Our friends Thore and Catta picked us up in their motorhome and we arrived at Husbilslandet half an hour before we were due to start the lecture.

On Friday, Peter picked me up at work with the camper van because we were going to lecture at a meeting with the Caravan Club at Husbilslandet in Kristinehamn. We were looking forward to the joint dinner that would be organised at 7 pm, but there was no dinner at Husbilslandet for us. Our Friday evening ended much more dramatically, with the towing of a motorhome.

Katrin Olsen lives in Norway and usually works for a company, but when she is free, nature and physical challenges attract her. She ran her first half marathon almost ten years ago, and since then the challenges have only gotten bigger and bigger.
