Today we visited the southernmost point of Europe, located in Tarifa, Spain. From here it is not far to Morocco, and when you look out over the sea you see North Africa rising like misty mountains on the other side. Fascinating that Africa is suddenly so close!

We have now moved to the Valdevaqueros campsite on the coast, one kilometre north of Tarifa in southern Spain. Here we are perfectly fine, even though the weather is really boring. But of course it can't always be sunny, even in Spain.

Today we left Seville and drove to El puerto de Santa Maria, just north of Cadiz on the Spanish coast. Here we are in a well-organised campsite right by the sea, but even though it's nice, we feel a certain irritation. In some cities, guidebooks tell you to visit the city's park, and then you're disappointed when the park is nothing more than a green lawn with a few trees and flowers.
