Today we strolled around Borgholm, which is a cosy summer town. There are small charming houses, a small shopping street where the clothes shops are close together and plenty of outdoor cafes and ice cream parlours. Yes, and a nice little harbour of course.

Today, when we were sitting outside the motorhome here at the campsite in Borgholm, a man came up and showed us mudguards to put behind the front tyres of the motorhome. The idea, of course, is to prevent dirt from splashing up on the car from the tyres.

Last night we visited the popular restaurant Lammet och Grisen here in Löttorp on Öland. Thank you (several) blog readers who told us about it! At Lammet, as the restaurant seems to be called, they serve "Öländsk fest". And yes, it was definitely a party we attended yesterday.

We have now got a place at Sonja's campsite in Löttorp. Since we did not book a place in advance, we had to queue, but luckily we got a place. And this campsite feels really good! We have had time to install ourselves and enjoy the lovely summer.

Now we have arrived on Öland and Löttorp's campsite! We took the bridge from Kalmar and then drove up to Löttorp, just south of Böda. We had booked a place at Löttorp's campsite because according to the website there would be everything possible here: several restaurants, pool with large water slide, adventure golf with wildlife theme, artists and specially built terraces against which you can dock your motorhome. Yesterday it was time for birthday celebrations again: Peter turned 53. And what could be better than celebrating in Pampas Marina, where the houseboat is located?
