Then we leave Italy with a mixed taste in our mouths. The weather has been wonderful all the time, just what you want, but the food is not great and it's expensive. 500 SEK for each night on a campsite, and it's almost a requirement from two teenage boys that there should be a pool and other fun things. Then we also have Italians who have patience on the outside, honking and shouting at everything, fun people. We have to take our pitches and do it at the right price, when the teenagers grow up.

Italian playa - Sabbiadoro near Lignano

Now we are in the Italian playa, at a campsite called Sabbiadoro, outside Lignano on the Italian coast. It looks a bit like the Canary Islands. A long fine sandy beach packed with people, sunbeds, parasols, inflatable crocodiles, pedal boats and windsurfing boards. Along the beach are high-rise hotels and restaurants.
