Strömsholm Castle is a royal castle near Västerås. The beautiful castle was once built by Hedvig Eleonora, on the site of a former Vasa castle. Today, many people associate the castle with horses and equestrian sports.

In the Stone Stable there is both the MC Collection and a bicycle museum. We have visited Tidö on several occasions and returned in 2024 together with our South African friends Henri and Michelle. Ericsberg Castle is one of Sweden's most beautiful baroque castles, and the garden is occasionally open to visitors. However, our visit to the castle was not quite as planned, and then the day continued in the same way. Castle after castle was private and more or less closed to visitors. Boo Castle is a beautiful terracotta-coloured palace reminiscent of a fairytale castle. Not too far away, you can also visit the beautiful Brevens Bruk and see the lots of deer. For our part, it then ended with a castle and campsite in Vingåker.
