Party in Trosa - and a perch that wasn't a perch!

Last night it was time for a party in Trosa ... We had planned to start the evening by eating a good fish dish at one of Trosa's all fine restaurants. But then it turned out that almost every restaurant in the entire city was subscribed! After a long walk, we finally found a free table at the slightly simpler restaurant "Fyren". But it was not quite as planned ...

"Perch" was not perch.

We ordered "perch with seafood risotto", but were very disappointed when we got... well, a completely different fish. We called in the chef who explained that "no, it's not the kind of perch you fish here, it's a relative that you fish in the Indian Ocean".

It's not exactly what you expect when you sit in a seaside pub in Trosa next to the fishing boats! To get a distant cousin from the Indian Ocean! And then to have the nerve to write "perch" on the menu ... Maybe you could write potatoes and then serve carrots? I mean, they are related ...

Fashion show and dance

As for the other programme items during the evening, you can tell that you are a bit away from Stockholm ... or are you just spoiled? The "fashion show" from one of the city's shops consisted of shrieking aunts skipping into the restaurants in cowboy hats with Carola blaring from a small tape recorder.

The guy singing along with the karaoke machine on the dance floor couldn't sing the right notes or take his eyes off the lyrics. He also took five-minute breaks between each song, so everyone who was up and dancing started to give up and walk away... It was a bit funny that we parked right next to the dance floor, so we had a perfect view!

Tommy Körberg and Benny Andersson

Nothing that was good then? Yes, Tommy Körberg and Benny Andersson played a bunch of songs on the stage in the centre. They had only promised to play one song, but then they knew a few more ... Obviously fantastic! Tommy then ended the gig with "Vi ses på Ica".
