Motorhome cancelled for the winter

We have now parked the motorhome for the winter. We got a question about it: "Do you really park motorhomes in the winter? Don't you use them all year round?" The answer is that you do what you want. Of course you can use your motorhome all year round. Some makes and models are better suited to winter use than others, but usually it's fine.

A little more difficult in winter

But it's true that motorhomes are a bit more complicated in winter. Especially if you have the motorhome parked outside in the cold. You have to empty it of water and everything else that can't stand sub-zero temperatures, and then it's a lot of work to start it up again.

We usually don't use our motorhome between November and February, when we empty it of water, food, technology and bedding. This year we are unpacking it unusually early because we are busy with the houseboat. And if you don't use the motorhome, you might as well park it. The insurance will be much cheaper then!
