Now things are happening on the blog! Today we are heading to Piteå and Sweden's largest trade fair: Stora Nolia. We will be live blogging throughout the fair so that you can follow what is happening. In addition, we have a surprise to offer.
Sweden's largest trade fair
Stora Nolia prides itself on being Sweden's largest trade fair. The fair takes place over nine days, 6-14 August in Piteå. There are a total of 500 exhibitors and around 100,000 visitors are expected. Will there be a crowd? Yep! Every year, visitors to the fair spend almost SEK 45 million!
The fair is very broad and you will find exhibitors in several different areas: Housing and construction, Food and drink, Design and fashion, Exercise and health, Technology and engines, Motorhomes and caravans, Leisure and wilderness life and Society and business. The programme is also packed with lectures, activities and performances.
Sweden's second largest camping fair
The camping part of the fair is 15,000 square metres, which means that this is the second largest camping fair in Sweden after Elmia Husvagn Husbil. The fair will be packed with new products this year, and Adria's CEO Peter Blomqvist says that Adria's factory in Slovenia has adapted its production to produce this year's new products for Stora Nolia. One exhibitor has also flagged an extra big news, but which exhibitor it is and which product it is will only be revealed just before the fair ...
We liveblog ... and have a surprise for you
What will we be doing at the fair? Well, we'll be "live blogging", which means we'll be following along throughout the fair, interviewing exciting people and continuously reporting here on the blog. It will not be just one post a day as usual - but perhaps several posts every day. The "Guest of the Week" will pause during the fair, and instead we will focus entirely on what is happening at Nolia.
In addition, we have a big surprise that will roll out in conjunction with the fair. Check out Peter's "Happy Friday" post tomorrow to find out what's going on!
Today we are travelling north with a motorhome with a glowing engine light. Freedom has been in the workshop for two weeks, but the spare parts did not arrive in time. We can't let that stop us, of course, but we are still travelling. Hope you'll join us on this adventure! Maybe we'll even see you?
Steve says:
I'm looking forward to attending the Nolia Fair.

Henny says:
You are very welcome to the Norrland Riviera. The tip to stop in Jävre you must take to heart, buy a smoked salmon at Bea, gourmet food - I promise. And eat it preferably on thin bread.
If you come on Saturday, it's extra fun because the village's associations have joined forces to organise the Devil's Day at the lighthouse. See you there

Matts Torebring says:
Excitingly, we're going on the trailer. But friends, you could have chosen a different background for the car. Anyone who knows me knows that Matts doesn't go to Konsum or Coop. I'd rather be hungry. A bit of a joke perhaps, but often deadly serious too.

BP says:
I have been to the Nolia Fair once, but it was held in Umeå. You have to look for a bigger fair and a wider range of products in Sweden. It was incredibly fun to be there, so you have something to look forward to.
Brave of you to travel almost 900 kilometres despite Freedom being "sick". Hope all goes well.
It will be fun to follow you and find out what surprises you offer:-)

admin says:
Matts, haha, this is Coop in Bromma and this is where many of the rich homeowners in Bromma shop 😉 We usually shop at ICA Lindhagensplan, but there is only a car park where the camper van does not fit....
BP, glad you were at Nolia! And nice to hear that we have something to look forward to! 🙂
