Bürstner Husbils Club's 25th anniversary has just been organised at Romme racetrack in Borlänge. We were there as an exhibitor, and also took part in the programme with food and mingle. Two nice days!

Bürstner Husbils Club's 25th anniversary in Borlänge.

Bürstner Husbils Club brings together people who have a Bürstner motorhome. We don't have one - our motorhome is an Adria - but we were nevertheless invited to the meeting as exhibitors at the mini fair organised by the club.

We arrived in good time, and had to park right outside the premises. Soon after, the meeting participants arrived and parked. In just a few hours, over 80 (!) large Bürstner motorhomes arrived!

Exhibitors at Bürstner Husbils Club's 25th anniversary celebrations

The club had organised a variety of activities for its members, one of which was a small mini-fair. Around eight different exhibitors displayed accessories and other products suitable for motorhome owners. On our stand we had:

The experience of this fair was that it was really fun (and felt meaningful) even though the fair was quite small. Instead, it was a bit more intimate and we had time to talk to many people. Very nice!

Products with Dala horses from the Swedish company Pufz, also available in our online shop.

We actually went shopping ourselves too! MAUS was there with a small, handy fire extinguisher that puts out fires with an environmentally friendly and non-toxic potassium-based smoke. The advantage of this is that you put out a fire without destroying and having to clean up.

The company that displayed the fire extinguishers did not sell them on site, but MJ Fritidscenter, which also exhibited, quickly became a dealer and was able to sell us one. So now we feel even more secure in the motorhome!

Mingle, food and activities

The club had arranged a nice meeting with a programme of different activities, such as a quiz, lotteries and a dinner with a quiz. When you arrived you got a goodie bag, and already on the first day we munched on Leksandsknäcke with Gustafskorv, which was in the bag. Delicious!

It was most fun and enjoyable to meet both old and new friends and acquaintances. We met many people that we had met at fairs and on pitches around Sweden. We also met two (!) couples who travelled with us on "The beach basket trip" in Germany a few years ago. Fantastic fun! In the picture below you see Linda and Pär, who nowadays live full time in their motorhome and blog at Reiselinda.

Now our campervan journey continues

After the first two days we left the Bürstner Husbils Club, which itself continued with the annual meeting. Now we continue our motorhome journey, and our sights are set on Uddevalla and northern Bohuslän. Hope you want to join us here at FREEDOMtravel!
