I work half day from home today, but then it's time for us to roll. At last! In 2015 we travelled around Europe with the motorhome for 365 days. Last year there were only a few campervan trips within the country - to Piteå and to Elmiamässan among others. To get down to Europe with the motorhome again feels ... fantastic!

Cleaned and ready
A few weeks ago we did a thorough cleaning of the motorhome. We vacuumed every millimetre, washed all surfaces with detergent and took out all the sheets and towels for washing. It became a rather strange "winter storage" this year if you say so.
As the motorhome broke down on the motorway and was towed to the workshop, we never even had time to remove the bedding. At least now we have washed everything and last night it was time to make the bed.
We start in Pampas marina
The trip starts in Pampas marina in Solna, where we live. We will leave the houseboat for a few weeks, but it will not be alone and abandoned. Our immediate neighbours will look after it and one of Peter's sons will hang out there from time to time.
Restaurant K4
Pampas marina is fantastic now in the summer, and if the weather is nice, it's really great to hang out here every day. The former Sjökrogen has changed owners and now restaurant "K4" has opened instead. They have renovated and made it look super cosy, but we haven't had time to test the food yet. Let us know what you think if you stop by this summer!
Rolling south
So today we are travelling south, aiming for Poland and the Czech Republic. We have not decided how far we will drive or where we will stop. All we know is that we will take the ferry from Trelleborg to Swinoujscie on Friday afternoon.
We will update as usual during the trip with a post every morning at 06:00. The only exception will be on Saturdays when you can instead follow our guest blogger Elisabeth Haug on her and her family's motorhome trip through Europe down to Croatia.

After lunch, it will be a smart car trip to Tylösand for me, Jan had an emergency fix on the Concorde tenfold this morning on the way north so it was also "right on the nose".

Well, at least we hope that it will go well now (we haven't had time to test the car, and the battery still seems to have some difficulty charging when stationary). Lovely with a trip to Tylösand! Oh thanks for the tip about K4 and the new owners. Was there two years ago and was satisfied even then, I must say. Hanging on the bridge in the sun with good food and drink is not at all wrong.
