This week we had two After Work events in the middle of the week. It started on Monday evening, when there was an event for travel bloggers in connection with the marketing of a new app. On Wednesday it continued with an event at Scandic Continental, about Fort Myers and Sanibel in Florida. ShareAfter work 1: Appen Wowanders
Last Wednesday we went to an "After Work" with Italian mingle food and presentation of the brand new app "Wowanders", at a small Italian restaurant called Trattoria Montanari. Two Finnish girls have developed this "travel diary" app where you can share and get tips on, for example, sights and restaurants. We'll see if we get the opportunity to test it during one of our upcoming trips, and if so, we'll be back with a review!
Of course, we also got the chance to meet a whole bunch of new and old travel blog friends. Fun! A bunch of us continued on to Ångbåtsbryggan on Strandvägen. In the picture below you see Sandra from the blog Permanent residence and Christian from Food and travel blog. In the top picture you can also see Veera from Veera Bianca and the two Finnish app developers.
After work 2: Fort Myers and Sanibel in Florida
Last Wednesday it was time for After Work ... again! (No break and no rest.) This time it was Fort Myers and Sanibel in Florida that invited us to a small mingling event at Scandic Continental. This area is less known than many others in Florida and offers beautiful nature, bird life, turtles, fabulous beaches and small islands where the houses cannot be built higher than the palm trees. Yes, we actually got really hungry ...!
After this hectic week, we could use a quiet weekend, but that doesn't seem to be the case. There's a lot of fun and a lot of work this weekend. Happy Friday! What has been the best part of your week?

In Fort Mayers we visited Thomas Alva Edison and his neighbour Henry Ford. Very interesting! However, I don't think there was any beach visit there. Also... 🙂
The week has offered many wonderful meetings (and tapas) with friends here in town - always fun! 🙂

The best of the week was probably my Wednesday evening when I had my three childhood friends here. It is an honour to have friends you have shared most things with since the first day of school 57 years ago. They are worth their weight in gold....

So I understand that Peter can cope with all the events. He can divide his "working day" as he wants and alternate with the occasional nap in the sunbed on deck. But I don't understand how you manage. Full-time job and all. On the other hand, you are significantly younger than Peter and compared to me you are a "child" so;-)
I have visited Fort Myers and Sanibel! Wonderful places. Hope you are going to go there, but there it is not enough with just one week I can say; -)
