Guest writers on FREEDOMtravel
We are happy to finally present a concept that we have been working on for a long time - guest writers/influencers on FREEDOMtravel! We welcome selected external writers to write with us and present them on our homepage. What is the idea behind this? Well, we hope this will be a win-win for everyone:
- FREEDOMtravel readers get: Variation in content and new exciting reading!
- FREEDOMtravel's editorial team gets: "Free" on certain days when another writer is responsible for the content.
- Guest writers get: Visibility through presentation and links to own blogs and social media, as well as the possibility of new collaborations.
- Companies/destinations may: Opportunity to find a group of writers and influencers for collaboration through FREEDOMtravel.
Our idea is to bring together an exciting mix of bloggers, instagrammers, youtubers, journalists, writers, experienced travellers and motorhomers. Do you feel met and want to participate? Inspiration from Latvia
It's great that events and the like have started again, and this week we were invited to the Latvian Embassy. They offered both inspiration, in the form of presentations, and good food. We have travelled a bit in Latvia before, but not so much, and it would be exciting to see more. Some things that were highlighted during the presentations:
- Letter speaks many languages
- The sandy beaches are long and beautiful
- The food is tasty and exciting
- A hiking trail runs through the entire Baltic region
- You can hike through bogs with special 'snowshoes'.
Then there was food and mingling, to emphasise the good and exciting food.
It also served locally produced craft beer and "Riga balsam" (traditional Latvian liqueur). In the photo, the latter drink is already out of print as you see ...
Best this week
We have a lot going on right now, and it feels great that the concept of guest writers / influencers is finally up and running! This week we have also indulged in several meals at a restaurant, which we usually don't indulge in. In the picture below you see Peter with a pizza at Giro pizzeria on Sveavägen. Very good!
And you, what can you highlight as positive from your week?
The week ahead
We will be at home in Stockholm for a while. However, during the week we will have visitors from abroad, and it will be fun! Maybe there will be some sightseeing along with work and meetings. On freedomtravel.se there will probably be a wild mix of articles: The glass kingdom in Småland, Tunisia ... and maybe a guest article?

Nice to have some guest writers, especially for you Helena. You probably need some relief.
Latvia is absolutely superb. The sandy beaches are long and outstandingly beautiful. The food is excellent and incredibly cheap. This also applies to beer/wine/spirits. Many Latvians speak Russian, but English is not so good. So we thought.

Yes, it can be handy to have some "free time" sometimes, but above all we think it's fun to have a small group of writers with us here! 🙂 Glad you also liked Latvia. We have only experienced Riga, and an orphanage in the eastern part, so we have a lot left to see 😉.

Can certainly be good with guest writers too, and I can imagine that relief is needed. You have also tested this with guest writers before with some collaborative posts and also some other things.
We have visited Latvia several times but it has been a few years since the last time. I am probably more fond of Estonia where I have been much more.
Best part of the week? Being vaccinated with dose 3 of covid and having it registered in the Covid passport, nice restaurant visits with friends and spending some time in the City and seeing all the nice Christmas lights.

We became very fond of Estonia when we travelled around there! Latvia we have seen less of, so we have difficulty comparing, but would love to see more! Congratulations on the 3rd shot!!!
