Park Boheminium in the Czech Republic
When we were last in the Czech Republic, in the area of the Karlovy Vary, we took the opportunity to visit the Park Boheminium in Marianske Lazne. We were on a blogging trip and on this particular afternoon everyone in the group was doing different things. Our blogging colleagues went cycling or tried the spa, while Peter and I chose to check out Park Boheminium, which is a miniature Czech Republic.

4th largest miniature park in Europe
Park Boheminium in the Czech Republic is the fourth largest miniature park in Europe. A total of 115,000 visitors come every year to check out the detailed miniature versions of Czech monuments on a scale of 1:25. We were here on a rather rainy day, and yet it was a really successful visit.
Castles and fortresses in the Czech Republic
It is certainly fun for children to check out the miniature park, but also for all adults who like history, architecture and sights. The Czech Republic is really full of amazing buildings and the miniature park gives you the chance to see some of them.
We found some castles that we have seen in real life, namely Loket in Loket, Becov nad Teplou south of Karlovy Vary and Kynzvart Castle south-west of Karlovy Vary. We also discovered that there are many others, absolutely fantastic, castles and fortresses that we would like to see.

Churches, towers and pillars
Besides castles and fortresses, we checked out a number of cool churches, towers and pillars. We've seen the Karolinin Pramen in Marianske Lazne, and the other buildings are now simply on our bucket list. Aren't they cool?

Walk back to Marianske Lazne
When we were done with our visit, we chose to walk back to Marianske Lazne through the forest. A beautiful walk of just under three kilometres, downhill. A nice afternoon! Did you recognise these cool Czech buildings?

So delicious! What a great idea. Imagine if you could have been involved in building these castles and fortresses. Honestly, I am not very interested in going on guided tours in "real" castles, but this is a completely different thing. All in one so to speak;-)
