FREEDOMtravel magazine

FREEDOMtravel magazine will be published the week after Midsummer. The magazine will be distributed together with the magazine "Husbil och Husvagn på väg" and 100,000 copies will be distributed to 600 campsites between Mora and Ystad. At these campsites, the magazine will be available free of charge at the reception desks.

Why a magazine?

The answer to the question of why we publish a magazine is mainly that it feels fun and like the "next step". At the same time, we hope that the magazine can give our blog more visibility, more readers and perhaps also potentially new partners. Of course, it costs a lot of money (6-figure amount) to publish a magazine, so even if we sell advertising space, it is not something we will ultimately make money on.

What should the magazine be about?

In the magazine, we will share travel tips, both for Sweden and Europe. There will also be some other features on mobile life. There will be about 50 per cent editorial material and 50 per cent ads, which is a fairly high proportion of editorial for this type of free magazine. We want it to be worth reading!

How do we make it happen?

There are three people working on the magazine right now: the two of us and Peter's brother Micke. Micke has worked as an advertising salesman all his life, especially for the magazine Vi i Villa, where he was top salesman during the 2000s. As a recent retiree, he wanted to do something new, which he does through his company. Tjälldén Group. So he's the one who works with ad sales in the magazine - and here on the blog, as you may have noticed.

We, Peter and Helena, work with the editorial content, i.e. texts, images, planning and everything else. It's a lot of work and it was really hard. trip that this Ascension Day weekend appeared. For several days now, we have been standing still at the car park in fine Gränna and just worked, worked and worked ...
