The KABE and Adria Caravan & Motorhome Exhibition is now underway.

Right now, 4-12 September, the KABE & Adria Caravan & Motorhome Fair is taking place at the Elmia Fair in Jönköping. A total of 123 vehicles are on display from KABE, Adria, Affinity and Sun Living. In addition, leisure products from Kama Fritid are on display.

High pressure on travel during the autumn holidays

The number of travel bookings has increased significantly, according to TUI. The company has added extra flights during the autumn holidays and beyond to meet demand. The Canary Islands and Cyprus are popular destinations this autumn. Bookings for winter travel are also increasing sharply and are expected to return to normal levels from Christmas onwards. The following destinations are the most booked during the autumn holidays:

Halloween investments in theme parks

Several Swedish amusement parks are now fully prepared for the Halloween. Gröna Lund starts on 15 October and for 16 days fills the park with evil creatures, five houses of horror, six different themed areas and horror parades. Furuvik starts on 23 October with eight days of 'cosy fun'. They are also launching 'Horror Nights' for visitors over 13 years old. Kolmården will fill the park with spooky experiences from 16 October. They are also promoting the "Horror Nights" concept for visitors aged 13 and over.

SJ gets confidence to run night trains Stockholm-Hamburg

The Swedish Transport Administration recently announced that SJ has won the tender for night train services between Stockholm and Stockholm.Hamburg. Starting in the second half of 2022, the night trains will be advertised as SJ EuroNight and will be part of the network of European trains. night train which after many years of decline are now growing and becoming more popular. According to the provisional timetable, the night train will leave Stockholm in the early evening and arrive in Hamburg between 06:00 and 07:00.

Visit Sweden gets extended trust to promote tourism in Sweden to Swedes

The government's proposed autumn budget, launched on 3 September, indicates SEK 20 million for Visit Sweden, to continue to market Sweden as a tourist destination for both foreign and Swedish target groups in 2022 and to contribute to the restart of the Swedish tourism industry after the pandemic. It is too early to say how the million kronor will be used, but it is clear that Visit Sweden will build on the Svemester assignment that the company received at the turn of the year 2020-2021.

Viking Line opens booking for the new flagship Viking Glory

The shipping company Viking Line is now releasing tickets for the climate-smart flagship Viking Glory. The vessel, which will be in daily traffic on the Stockholm-Mariehamn-Åbo line in early 2022, has a capacity for 2,800 guests with 17 different cabin categories. The ship is being decorated in collaboration with the Swedish architectural firm Koncept, which has previously decorated Copperhill Mountain Lodge in Åre and Haymarket by Scandic in Stockholm, and the cabins are decorated by Åland artist Jonas Wilén. Voyages departing from 1 March 2022 can be booked from 1 September 2021.
