Holidaying in Europe? The world is starting to open up and you can start dreaming about - and planning for - travelling in Europe. Here are ten European countries that we like.

Holidays in Europe
We like to holiday in Europe. Although we also like to visit even more exotic destinations from time to time, we have to say that we think Europe has a lot to offer.
Plus, of course, it's a relatively accessible part of the world - whether you're travelling by motorhome or otherwise. Picking ten countries wasn't easy (there are many more we like!), but here are a few of our favourites.
1. France - nature and food
France is one of our absolute favourite countries in Europe. We love everything from its beautiful language to its amazing nature. Here you can experience both exotic islands and dramatic canyons. And then there's the food! We find that you almost always get good and varied food in France - at reasonable prices.
2. Poland - beaches and cities
We've travelled to Poland many times, and it's a country we love to return to. There are lovely sandy beaches, beautiful cities and also exciting places where you can experience wild bison or the Masurian Lakes, for example.
3. Iceland - adventure and drama
Iceland is a stunning country with dramatic scenery in the form of geysers, volcanoes and waterfalls. If you wish, you can experience the landscape from horseback. Reykjavik is also an exciting city, full of culture and with plenty of interesting restaurants.
4. Germany - themed roads and castles
Germany is a cosy, pleasant and motorhome-friendly country that offers great variety. You'll find beautiful scenery, charming cities, interesting themed roads and historical sights. There are also beaches, beer, white wine and festivals, and the prices are good. What to not like?
5. Estonia - tranquillity and history
Estonia is more than Tallinn. While Tallinn is a lovely and fascinating city, it's exciting to see more of the country as well. The countryside is beautiful and peaceful and there are many interesting places to visit. Not least, it is interesting to learn about the Swedish history that is everywhere.
6. Croatia - islands and national park
Croatia is a holiday paradise with a long stunning coastline and thousands of islands. You can't go wrong when travelling to Croatia - you'll be right everywhere. There are also a number of fantastic national parks and many beautiful and historic cities.
7. Belgium - beer and canals
Belgium is a small but charming country. Discover cities and towns like Brussels, Antwerp, Bruges and Ghent. Glide around the cosy canals, visit breweries and learn how to drink beer like a Belgian.
8. Switzerland - mountains and beauty
Switzerland is perhaps one of the most beautiful places to holiday in Europe: the mountains are high, nature is green and the views are breathtaking in many places. We also like the opportunity for adventure, the good cheeses and the high quality of interactive museums and experiences.
9. Czech Republic - greenery and sights
The Czech Republic is a country we like a lot. It's nice and easy to travel here with your motorhome. The nature is beautiful and there are plenty of sights in the form of cities, castles, palaces and glassworks. There is also a spa tradition and good white wines. And the prices are very reasonable!
10. Malta - swimming and culture
Malta is the destination for those who want to experience sun and sea, but also a large dose of culture and history. Valletta is a fantastic city and it is also interesting to visit the historic capital Mdina. And don't miss the island of Gozo, with its nature and local produce.

There are many countries we like to visit. And most of them have something we like more and something we can do without. But northern Italy, parts of France, Croatia and Norway end up here as well as Estonia, Austria and Switzerland.

We also like Austria! Norway is fantastic, but we have not been around much there unfortunately. And also agree about northern Italy. There are many nice places 🙂 .

I have not visited Iceland and Malta. Iceland has been on my list for a long time.
France is a place I always come back to, always in my heart.

We have travelled in the countries you listed except Malta, which I cannot comment on. For us, Iceland is definitely the favourite! There are of course many beautiful and interesting things in each country, but Iceland is something very special!

Les Castel campsites in France are our favourites, but definitely not the language, it doesn't work for us at all. Austria is probably number 2 among our favourites.

Totally agree with you about all the countries you list. With the exception of Belgium, which, while offering great food, I found to be the dirtiest. I have never visited the Czech Republic.
