Winter is great - we actually like it! - but the longer it lasts, the more we start gently longing for summer and sunshine. Imagine getting rid of all those thick clothes and just settling down by a pool with a good book?

Lounging by a pool

Lounging by a pole is somehow the epitome of the ultimate holiday - swimwear, sunglasses, a good book, a refreshing drink... The vision, of course, includes being free, having all the time in the world and not feeling stressed or worried about this or that.

Even though we like to swim in the sea and lake, when we stay at a hotel where we have the chance, we like to take a pool bath from time to time. Pools feel luxurious in some way and often give a relaxed feeling. Maybe a bit like being at a spa? And then you don't have to deal with all the sand of course ...

What do you want to do by the pool?

At the pool, the first thing you might want to do is... nothing. It's not very often that you get the chance to do that, so it always feels luxurious. But after a while it gets boring, of course, and that's when reading a book is perfect. We both used to read a lot, and we loved it. Nowadays we read much more rarely, but when you have a quiet moment, it can be really relaxing, and at the same time exciting to live in a completely different world.

Have your own pool on your property?

The way we live today, on a houseboat, we will hardly get our own pool. But some kind of smaller pool / hot tub would perhaps not be impossible to have on deck? Well, in another life, with a house and plot, a pool would be the dream, or the icing on the cake perhaps.

Pools can be obtained, for example, through Swedish Pool Factorywhich was founded in 1989 and has been manufacturing pools from Swedish steel ever since. Much of the manufacturing is done in Sweden, which not only contributes to good quality but also ensures that spare parts and the like are available in the future, should they be needed.
