Rolfs Flyg & Buss launches new concept for solo travellers

Rolfs Flyg & Buss is launching two new concepts specially designed for solo travellers who want to meet and socialise with others on their trips. Buddy trips go to Portugal and involves single rooms with no single room supplement, while "Rolfs Romantik" is an exclusive three-day concept at Kosta Boda Art Hotel in Sweden. All trips are led by Atle Johansen, former participant in the TV programme "Hotel Romantik".

How many people are worried about rain this summer - naming the sunniest week of the summer

Figures from a new Countryside Hotels survey show that more people want to holiday in Sweden this summer, but that 41% are worried about bad weather during their holidays and 7% are very worried. 49% do not trust long-term forecasts at all, while 48% trust them to some extent. Only 2% are very confident in forecasts. Instead of relying on forecasts, Swedes now make their own predictions, based on their own experience. Top list - the weeks Swedes think are the sunniest:

  1. Week 31, 29 July-4 August
  2. Week 27, 1-7 July
  3. Week 26, 24-30 June
  4. Week 29, 15- 21 July
  5. Week 30, 22- 28 July

Tallink Silja Line is launching a new series of ship wines and beers - an exclusive collection of six own brand wines and two hand-picked craft beers from selected producers in Europe. This collection is available on board the ships from 2 May 2024 and for the next two years. The new wines and beers have been carefully selected through a blind tasting conducted by Tallink Silja Line's own expert panel:

The most popular spring holiday destinations in Spain

Spain has been the unchallenged number one favourite destination among Swedes in recent years - and so it will be in 2024. Figures from the travel agency Tickets Sifo survey show that the vast majority (15%) choose Spain as the country they would most like to visit in 2024. Destinations such as Mallorca, Malaga and Gran Canaria are classics that are popular year after year. If you want to visit more unexplored destinations, Estepona, Cadiz and San Sebastian are gems to discover. The most popular spring holidays in Spain:

Grand Hôtel celebrates 150 years - launches coffee table book

Campaign about Sweden - the most awarded campaign at the Golden Egg Gala 2024

Visit Sweden's marketing campaign for the tourist country of Sweden, "Sweden (not Switzerland)", was the most awarded campaign in Sweden's largest and oldest competition in creative communication, Guldägget. The campaign, created by the agencies Forsman & Bodenfors and Mindshare, was honoured with four awards, two gold and two silver.

The campaign has generated a reach of 175 253 330 UVD (Unique Viewers Daily) in the Nordic countries, USA, Germany, France, UK, Switzerland, China, Belgium, Netherlands, Luxembourg and Sweden alone. In total, the campaign was visible in more than 49 countries, on all continents through over 1230 published articles in international media.
