For us, this week has offered wonderful nature experiences in Sardinia, but also a lot of everyday life and some problems. For quite some time we have been suffering from a large problem and we hope (fingers crossed!) that we have found a solution...

Nature experiences in Sardinia
Sardinia is a beautiful island, with dramatic mountains, stunning rock formations and beautiful beaches. This week we have rented a boat in Cala Gonone (wow!) and we have also done an exciting hike. The latter gave me hefty training pains in my legs, so I've been stumbling around for days, but ... I'm sure it'll pass soon!

Everyday life on the move
You could say that we choose our days. Some days we do lovely tourist things. Other days we mostly work, and do everyday chores. Even on working days, we can find time for a swim - you might need it in the heat!
There is also quite a lot of time spent on everyday chores actually: filling fresh water, emptying grey and black water, emptying garbage, shopping for food, refueling diesel and LPG, moving outdoor furniture and awning in and out, cooking, washing dishes, cleaning the motorhome, washing clothes and bedding, charging technical gadgets when we happen to be connected to electricity, researching the next place, finding parking for the night and so on.

Because we're always in new places, everything is always new... How does it work here? What services are available? How much does it cost? What does the text on the sign mean?

A major problem that we have been dealing with for a long time
We have been dealing with a huge problem for a long time. We've had a water leak, but we haven't realised where the water is coming from. If we stood leaning forwards, it got wet on the floor in front of the sofa, and if we stood leaning backwards, it got wet on the floor next to the kitchen. We have looked, looked and tested, tested.
In the meantime, we have been living without water in the taps (which certainly does not make life easier). And now... think we think we've found a solution. Keep your fingers crossed for us! We'll be back soon with a description of the problem... and the solution!

This week: Grateful for ...
First of all, we are grateful that we think we have finally (!) found the source of the water leak. Talk about making us sweat! We are grateful that we can continue travelling and that we can now experience Sardinia. We are also very happy to have met new motorhome friends in Corsica/Sardinia. That's the kind of thing that makes motorhome life a little more enjoyable!
Your turn ... what are you grateful for this week?

The week ahead
We will continue our journey around Sardinia. You can expect reports on hiking and boating, but also on a water leak in the motorhome... In addition, we hope to tell you about another exciting news - something we are very proud and happy about!

I hope you get the water leak sorted and only sweat because of the weather, not because of worries.
This week I am grateful for most things in life. The summer is not over, two trips await in the autumn, the guinea pigs are healthy and I have a new bed coming home to me.

Thank you! Yes, worries are included, but you want as little as possible 😉 Lovely with booked trips, it will be exciting to see where it goes!

What a shame about a water leak. When that happens you can't think of anything else. Really hope that it works out / sorted out for you.
And we feel very grateful that we had a whim and have made it to Norway, now having a week ahead of us in the motorhome. It requires some planning as Stefan's knee replacement has been much harder than we hoped. It has been daily training with a physiotherapist and at the gym since mid-May. Now it is better and we hope and believe in an autumn trip. But now first we will visit Sørlandet 😄

Yes, a real pain in the arse with the water leak! And so it is, it has taken a lot of energy! It sounds hard with the knee joint, but nice to hear that you could get away! Have a nice trip!

It strikes me now that even the roads in Sardinia seem to be in much better condition than in Corsica. They are both wider and have real railings. Good there.
Really keeping my fingers crossed that you have found the origin of the water leak, so to speak. You don't want that kind of water in your home;-)

Yes, that's right, the roads in Sardinia are generally both wider and in better condition.

So cosy posts from Sardinia! For some reason Sardinia attracts more than Corsica, why we can't explain. So glad you found the cause of the water leak. Such worries are no fun. We have spent four days with good friends on an incredibly beautiful golf course outside Ludvika. It really must be the best of the week!

Sardinia is "bigger" than Corsica, for better or worse. We think Corsica is cosier and wilder, but it's slightly easier to travel with a larger motorhome in Sardinia (although it's not always super easy ;)) and there are lots of great places to discover!

Oh so hard with the water leak! Really hope it's fixed now so you can enjoy life in a motorhome even more!
