A fashion gala for the over-45s? Yes, that's exactly what ”The Golden Age gala 2026” was on 17 January at Clarion Hotel Stockholm. We only just made it back from Poland to be there. Peter's favourite designer Taracci was showing his creations on the catwalk...!

The Golden Age Gala 2026
The Golden Age Gala 2026 describes itself as ”The world's first gala focused on beauty, fashion and glamour for 45+”. The gala included fashion shows, performances and pop-up shops. In addition, the winners of the ”Next Golden Age Model 2026” modelling competition were announced.

Behind the scenes
So, why did we hang out at a fashion gala? Well, Peter love fashion and his favourite designer, and now good friend, Feyo Taracci was one of the designers to show his clothes on the catwalk. We simply took the opportunity to both help Feyo and to make a report on the event.

Fashion shows with several different designers
While Peter was helping Feyo and the 11 male models who were going to show his clothes, I was watching some of the other fashion shows. The models are from the agency Golden Age Models, which is for models aged 45 and over. Models with charisma and natural ageing!
The clothes came from different designers, and I watched a display of lingerie from Anita, among others.

I also watched a show with delicious designs from JF Peace Design. Inspiring, and also a wonderful atmosphere in the audience!

Entertainment between laps
The gala also offered some entertainment between the rounds. I watched the Relationship Show with Annika R. Malmberg. Really fun, with a good dose of recognition!

Some burlesque dancing from Diamonds in the rough also brightened up the afternoon, and then it was time for ... Taracci!

Fashion show with Taracci
If you've been following us for a while, you know that Taracci, currently located at Gamla Brogatan 17, is Peter's absolute favourite store when it comes to men's fashion. Feyo Taracci designs all the garments himself and there are only two stores: one in Stockholm and one in Brussels, the latter run by Feyo's brother.
How did it go? The models did a great job of showing Taracci's stylish and unique clothes, and the audience was really into it. You can see some photos from the show here!

Winners at the Golden Age Gala 2026
The gala ended with 17 nominated models being welcomed on stage. Everyone expected a winner to be announced in the competition Next Golden Age Model 2026, But things took an unexpected turn when all 17 were declared winners. The whole gang each won a paid modelling job. Great fun!
All in all, it was a really lovely day and evening at Golden Age Gala 2026. An inspiring event that reminded us that fashion and glamour are not just for the young - but for all ages!

We end with a film from the gala, edited by Peter:

So nice to have cool and stylish clothes for people of ”mature age”. Taracci's clothes are in most cases incredibly stylish. Lars usually says that the greyer you get over the years, the more colour you need on your clothes, and I have to agree.

WOW!!! How cool is that? I guess it was the first time the gala was held, and judging by the reactions, it will not be the last time either. However, I thought that Peter, who is such a frequent customer at Taracci, should also have been allowed to walk the catwalk - hahaha!
Taracci's models were definitely ”out of the ordinary”, just like his clothes, which I think are really cool.
Great honour that a guy in a wheelchair was allowed to participate.
I like Peter's film, where he didn't show the models' faces. Good one!

Yes, I understood that it was the first time the gala was held. And yes, Taracci asked if Peter wanted to walk the catwalk actually... However, the agency prefers to stick to its own models, and besides, time was very tight (we came back from Poland the night before) so Peter let it go. Aren't Taracci's clothes gorgeous! And yes, the models come from the Golden Age Models agency, and they have models aged 45+, and also I understand that they strive for diversity from different perspectives.

It seems to have been a fun show with so many different designers and especially for 45+. Almost thought Peter would be on the catwalk, maybe next time?
