Last Thursday, we organised a large event with around 100 guests from the travel industry. This has been fantastic fun, while at the same time taking an incredible amount of time and energy. We will tell you about the whole event of course - we start by telling you about our partners!
Table of contents
A travel event - created by FREEDOMtravel
The event was created to bring together travel writers and digital creators as well as others in our travel network. We were the organisers of the event, while five destinations contributed in different ways: Uzbekistan, Frankfurt am Main, Tunisia, Austria and Slovakia.
Uzbekistan provided food, wine and musical entertainment, which really added to the atmosphere and experience! Other destinations paid a fee (renting a large venue in the centre of Stockholm is not free, we can assure you!) and contributed with, for example, lectures and content for the goodie bag. We also had two additional partners - a wine importer and a tech company.
1. Uzbekistan
As many may know, we have been working with Uzbekistan for a few years now. A fantastic country to experience, if you like culture and history! What we love is that it feels exotic and different, while being safe and cosy. Lovely people! Colourful! Beautiful crafts! Do you want to travel here? Don't hesitate to get in touch with us and we'll share our personal tips!

2. Frankfurt am Main
We really like travelling in Germany and we have cooperated a lot with the German Tourist Office in Sweden. The Tourist Office closed its operations in 2024 due to budget cuts, and the only thing left in Sweden is a limited tourism focus of the German-Swedish Chamber of Commerce.
So I'm glad they chose to partner with us for the event: Frankfurt am Main. We have never visited this city - but now we are curious! - and we can also highly recommend a great place to visit nearby: Kassel Bergpark Vilhemlshöhe.

3. Tunisia
Tunisia is a country we like very, very much. You can come here for relaxing sun and beach holidays, but also exciting desert adventures. You can go on a charter, or travel on your own. You can even come here by campervan if you like! Tunisia is a very diverse and accessible country, offering a Mediterranean feel as well as desert dreams.

4. Austria
Wonderful Austria! This country is fantastic for skiing in winter, but least equally wonderful for adventures in nature during the summer months. We have many favourites in Austria, including Salzburg and Zell am See. In addition, the ice cave ice-rice world on a fantastic experience! Austria is simply a wonderful holiday destination for active holidays 365 days a year!

5. Slovakia
Slovakia is a relatively new acquaintance for us. We visited Bratislava on a press trip last autumn, and it was a very nice first visit! We were definitely keen to see more and we have loosely begun to sketch a motorhome trip in these regions - however, it will not be until next year.
Anyway, don't miss out on this exciting country! You can experience, for example: historic cities, castles, Unesco heritage, nature, golf, food and wine!

More partners at the event
We had two more partners at the event that we are happy to tell you about:
Solid Wine
Solid Wine is a wine importer with over 20 years of experience and knowledge of wine import. This is a wine company with a passionate interest in food and wine! At the event, the company contributed with prosecco, to the initial mingle.
We drank Contarni Prosecco, from Veneto in Italy. This is a sparkling wine that is available in Systembolaget's order range (order item). Very tasty! And yes, we will always associate this drink with wonderful memories!

Lena - gott för själen says:
Thank you, again, for a very nice well-organised event! Extra fun was that we have very little experience of these particular destinations that were represented. Germany yes, but not Frankfurt am Main other than stopover. Zell am See, Austria, I have been in the summer. Cool feeling to ski in bikini 🙂
We look forward to taking a closer look at the other destinations.
Have a nice Saturday!

Many thanks from both of us for the invitation. So nicely organised! Good food and drink, nice mingle and nice presentations. We clearly got stuck for Uzbekistan as a country and there will be a trip. Have never been there.
I have visited Frankfurt most recently. I have spent some time in Tunisia. I worked there for a few months in 1974 and have been there since, as a tourist.
Austria is fairly familiar and have skied a lot there. Even in summer at Kaprun. Have also travelled by car in Austria one summer.
I have not visited Slovakia. Not yet, anyway.
