The days are starting to blend together a bit, I have to admit. We have almost spent a month in Norway and this is a fantastic beautiful country. During our trip we look for the best experiences, while working to keep costs down and make everything fit. It's busy as usual!

Continued journey through Norway
Our journey through Norway continues. We have experienced fjords and mountains, and then moved south by following the coast. The landscape has been fantastic and varied, with many hairpin bends and a lot of "upside down".
We camp a lot, alternating this with overnight stays at farms/local hosts. North trip as well as occasional camping nights. Fortunately, Norway is good at offering black and grey water disposal (toilet and dishwater, respectively, for those of you who don't know) and it's also fairly easy to empty garbage and fill fresh water.
Norway has continued to be fantastic, with beautiful nature and rural life on the doorstep. There have been countless times that we have had to drive slowly because of goats on the roads…
Upside-down weather
What about the weather? It fluctuates. Sometimes it's very hot (it feels like) and then we have 10 degrees and rain... We have used fleece sweaters more than shorts, but sometimes the shorts come out too.
Meet the Nortrip founders
When we came down to cozy Grimstad, in Sørlandet in Norway, we met the founders behind The Nortrip app (which means that you can spend the night with a camper van on farms around Norway): Patrik, Bjørnar and Eyvind (not in the picture).
These guys are so lovely and genuinely committed! The driving force is partly that they enjoy traveling on the roads, but also that they want to support local farmers, producers and entrepreneurs around the country. It's amazing to hear their vision and how passionate they are about their Nortrip.

We are still grateful to be able to experience Norway. We struggle with lots of things all the time, but we are on a roll, and we love it!

The week ahead
We will remain in Norway for the coming week. We have a number of stops planned before we head back to Sweden.

Haha! What a fun sign!! Signs that convey a serious message in a fun way are my favorites. For example, an acquaintance of ours put up a sign that said STRADA PRIVATA after people got lost on his road in search of a cafe that was a little way away. It worked and doesn't sound at all as angry as "private road"”

Sounds absolutely fantastic about the Norway trip. There is a lot to be grateful for…mostly my health so I can cope and take care of the grandchildren, most of all it will be the second oldest as my mother started working after the holidays.

After following your journey through Norway, we realized where next year's summer trip must go! It's a wonderful landscape. We ourselves are grateful that the workshop finally found our little water leak and that we will now have it fixed. Then we got to spend a couple of wonderful summer days on Tjörn and Orust!

Norway is truly a beautiful country. Dreaming of going to Lofoten. We'll see how that goes. Cool sign with the car that could risk being sold to Poland. You don't want to risk that.

Norway is certainly fantastic. And the hilly landscape starts in Oslo. I understand that you didn't have time to visit Lofoten this time, but it is recommended.
Imagine if Sweden could create something similar to Nortrip. I think it would all work out well. Have a good trip.
Grateful for? All the opportunities that Stockholm offers.

Yes, we understand that Lofoten is amazing!! But yes, that will have to be another time. And actually, Nortrip has expanded to Sweden, so the concept is available in Sweden now too! 🙂
