Bengtsfors is located along the Dalsland Canal, and we came here by motorhome after our visits to the aqueduct in Håverud and Dals Långed. Here we experienced charming locks, fantastic nature and a nice open-air museum.

Dals Långed is a small town along the Dalsland Canal. We did not have high expectations, but were surprised by idyllic lakes, charming locks and a village that lives thanks to initiative and a school for handicrafts.

The aqueduct in Håverud is a spectacular construction in Dalsland where road, railway and canal intersect in the air. You can stand for a long time and watch the boats pass through the water-filled metal channel. If you want, you can also join a boat trip from Håverud to Bengtsfors.

Köpmannebro lock station can be described as the gateway to the Dalsland Canal. This is the canal's first and largest lock. If you continue a bit further along the canal, you come to the locks at Upperud. Join us along the Dalsland Canal!

The small coastal town in northern Bohuslän offers everything that makes the west coast so wonderful: red boathouses, fishing boats, salty swimming, beautiful cliffs and of course lots of delicious seafood. We came here with the camper during a summer trip and got to experience both the charming harbor environment and a fantastic seafood feast with the family.

The Bohus Fortress has been defended by Norwegians, Danes and Swedes and has suffered a total of 14 sieges - a Nordic record. Today, you can come here to wander around the ruins, imagine the dramatic battles of history and perhaps breathe a sigh of relief that you don't have to stay in one of the dungeons.
