In two previous posts we tried to find out how many motorhomes there are in Sweden. But apparently it is not so easy to count motorhomes! Two different explanations

How many motorhomes are there in Sweden, and why do the figures differ so much? I sent a question about this to Infotorg, who responded with two possible explanations:

  1. They have only counted privately-owned motorhomes and the Swedish Transport Agency's figures may include company-owned motorhomes (but not those parked with traders, they are excluded).
  2. Larger camper vans are registered as light trucks in combination with body code 22, making them indistinguishable from other light trucks. Infotorg therefore selected a number of models.

Could this explain the differences? And how many motorhomes are there? What do you think?
