In today's post we showcase a bunch of motorhomes from the 2021 Elmia Caravan & Motorhome Show - from KABE, Adria and Sun Living. Here you can check out a selection of semi-integrated and fully integrated motorhomes, as well as two alcove motorhomes. And of course we share our reflections!

This year there was no "Elmia Husvagn Husbil" fair, so the KABE Group took the opportunity to organise its own smaller fair - in one of Elmia's exhibition halls. This means that only the group's own brands will be on display, i.e. KABE, Adria, Sun Living, Affinity and the accessories wholesaler KAMA Fritid.

This new fair was, of course, smaller and more limited, but it was still fun to at last get a peek inside new motorhomes and caravans. Here's a little insight for those who couldn't make it or who might want a refresher - and a lot for those who are thinking about a motorhome and want to consider different layouts and priorities.

Motorhomes in 2021 - some reflections

New motorhomes are super nice! When you have a slightly older model yourself, you are naturally struck by all the freshness and new features. We love the sleek design and soft colours. There are also many smart solutions, with high-tech displays, USB chargers and LED lighting.

We also think that in some cases there is too much focus on design - and not enough on practicality. We may find that some 2021 motorhomes are rolling bedrooms (so gigantic wards and so tiny kitchens) and that storage space sometimes suffers. We can also miss the great rubbish bin solution in our 2007 motorhome. Well, while some things are getting worse, most things are getting much, much better.

1. Semi-integrated: Adria Matrix Plus 670 CS

We think Adria's motorhomes are great, and you often get a lot for your money. There are often also good storage solutions. An oven is not included as standard, but is available at a limited extra cost. We think an oven in a motorhome is underrated. So useful and smooth!

2. Semi-integrated: KABE Royal x780 LQB

• Length: 8.06 metres
• Maximum weight: 4500 kg
• Number of beds: 2-5
• Basic price: 1 474 ooo kronor

KABE is a quality brand and the standard must be high. This is also why they are now focusing largely on Mercedes chassis - a little more exclusive, a little more expensive, a lot of driving pleasure. We sometimes think that bedrooms take up too much space in 2021 motorhomes, but that's a matter of taste. Maybe that's what KABE's customers want?

3. Semi-integrated: Sun Living S 75 SL

• Length: 7.42 metres
• Maximum weight: 3500/3800/2450/4400 kg
• Number of beds: 5+1
• Price from: SEK 736 000

Sun Living is Adria's entry-level brand, which means these motorhomes are generally priced slightly lower. The focus is on practicality rather than design. It's definitely the case that the design feels a bit more 'basic', but you get what you need for a slightly lower price tag. One disadvantage of this - if you are tall - is that the height is somewhat limited in the front part due to the raised floor. However, this problem disappears in models without an additional roof bed.

4. Fully integrated: Adria Sonic Supreme 700 SL

• Length: 7.49 metres
• Maximum weight: 3500/3800/2450/4400 kg
• Number of beds: 4+1
• Price from: 1 127 000 SEK

Adria can be said to be a 'mid-range' brand, but that also means there are a lot of fresher and more luxurious variants. Fully integrated is always a bit more exclusive and "supreme" is the top notch variant. A stylish and pleasant motorhome!

5. Fully integrated: KABE Imperial i810 LXL Tandem

• Length: 8.32 metres
• Maximum weight: 5500 kg
• Number of beds: 2-6
• Basic price: 2 242 000 SEK

If fully-integrated motorhomes are luxurious at Adria, they are of course the next best thing! yet more luxurious at KABE, otherwise the world would be upside down. "Imperial" is the most luxurious version and is of course available in different lengths and with different bed solutions. A lot is included from the start, which means the list of options is short.

6. alcove car: Adria Coral XL Plus 670 SL

• Length: 7.33 metres
• Maximum weight: 3500/3800/2450/4400 kg
• Number of beds: 5+1
• Price from: SEK 838 000

Alcove cars, i.e. motorhomes with an alcove above the driver's cabin, are perhaps one of the least "hot" models on the market among motorhomes in 2021. At the same time, these models are very practical in many ways. There are always plenty of beds available (without having to hoist them down above a dining area so that no one can sit there anymore) and there will also be high ceilings and lots of "space".

7. alcove car: Sun Living A 75 SL

• Maximum weight: 3500/3800/2450/4400 kg

If you want a budget alternative to an alcove car, you can look at Sun Living's variants. Here you get pretty much the same features and comfort as in an Adria motorhome, but with a slightly simpler and less refined design. The alcove car is available in three models - nursery model, double bed or long beds - and as standard there is a charging station for electric bikes in the garage.

Motorhomes 2021 - our dream motorhome ... and yours?

As we look around at all the new 2021 motorhomes, we naturally fantasise about what our dream motorhome looks like. Right now we want a motorhome with:

• KABE's amazing Mercedes chassis
• Large lovely kitchen with oven (but a small bedroom - cross bed works well!).
• Max 7.30 metres in length and max 3.5 tonnes
• Good storage space
• Diesel heaters, power batteries and solar cells
