Furuvik by motorhome – camping and visit to Furuviksparken

Updated: October 2026 | Furuvik Havscamping is located by the sea, right next to Furuviksparken. Here you can combine a holiday with a camper, caravan or tent with a zoo, funfair and swimming. We visited the campsite to surprise Peter's brother and family - and then took the opportunity to spend a whole day in the park.

Furuvik Havscamping – close to the sea and the park

For those who want to visit Furuviksparken, camping is a practical option. You live right next to the park and can stay overnight instead of driving home after a long day of activities.

Furuvik Havscamping has 74 campsites for campers, caravans and tents. The sites have electricity and a grassy area with an associated gravel parking area. There are two categories to choose from: seaside sites and sites in a forest clearing. The campsite is also environmentally certified with Green Key.

When we visited the campsite, we stood on a green lawn in a grove, close to the service building. It was convenient to combine the overnight stay with a visit to the park, but this time we also had another matter to attend to…

A surprise for the family

Peter's younger brother Dennis was at the campsite with his family and their neighbors. They had no idea we were coming too, so we rolled over and parked next to their camper and tent.

No one was home when we arrived, as the whole group was inside Furuviksparken. So we sat down and waited. The mosquitoes kept us company until the family returned…

The surprise was a success! They already saw us from a distance and really seemed to wonder what we were doing there. Then it was a nice evening with good food, conversation and a lot of computer games among the children and young people.

In addition, the group had had some incredible luck in the park's lotteries. Given the number of big chocolate prizes, we began to wonder if there were any left for other visitors.

We know who won a big chunk of the chocolate in Furuviksparken that day...

Service at Furuviks campsite

The camping area has two service buildings, barbecue areas, shop/reception, mini golf, playground and obstacle course. There is also Havskrogen, which serves breakfast and dinner. So there is the opportunity to eat out and find something to eat even outside the park itself.

When booking, it is a good idea to check what is included. Some accommodation options include two days of admission to Furuviksparken, while others only include camping. Therefore, base your booking on the content of the specific booking you choose.

Our day in Furuviksparken

The day after the surprise, we went to Furuviksparken. Peter's brother and their neighbors had eight children together, so it was quite a party. My, Helena's, favorite was the lemurs. They were fun to watch and became one of the strongest memories from the park visit.

The children also enjoyed the high-altitude track that was there during our visit. Almost everyone wanted to go up and climb, while the enthusiasm was a bit more mixed among us adults. After the climb, we went for a swim in the large pool, and Peter and I took the opportunity to lie on the grass for a while. Quite nice when you're walking around a park with a large group!

Zoo, amusement park and swimming pool

Furuviksparken combines several types of experiences. The regular entrance ticket includes the zoo, Pelle's play adventure and all open rides in the amusement park. During the swimming season, the adventure pool is also included. If there is a concert on the day of the visit, it is also included according to the park's current ticket information.

It is worth checking the programme before booking, so that the visit suits what you would like to do. Swimming, concerts and other seasonal activities are not available at all times.

With an overnight stay at the campsite, you can also spread your visit to the park over two days, if you choose a booking with two-day admission. This can give you more time to take breaks between activities.

Adventure Island – sea view and tricky tasks

Adventure Island is another part of the park. Here you can walk to the far end of the island to look at the ocean view or bring a picnic.

The current Adventure Trail contains activities and tricky tasks. Anyone who solves the tasks and comes up with a password has a chance to get a surprise from the Fort Watchman.

It is therefore a different set-up than the high-altitude track we photographed in 2010. Our old photos illustrate the memories from that trip, while the park's website shows what is on offer for the next visit.
