Hafsten Resort & Camping is located on the west coast and offers camping, swimming, nature experiences, adventurous activities and good food. We have spent two wonderful days here with our motorhome, and we are leaving satisfied and with new energy.

Hafsten Resort & Camping in Uddevalla
Hafsten Resort & Camping is a large campsite that offers a slightly luxurious feeling, both in the form of beautiful nature and the possibility of various exciting activities. Already when we rolled in, we were greeted by nice views.
Hafsten Resort & Camping is located on the coast of Bohuslän, about two miles southwest of the centre of Uddevalla, in the direction of Skaftö.
Stay in a motorhome, caravan, cabin or glamping tent
At Hafsten Resort & Camping you can stay in many different ways. We came with our own motorhome FREEDOM and got a nice spot overlooking the sea. The site had electricity and drinking water, and all the other services we needed were nearby. We were very happy here!
If you are not travelling with your own motorhome or caravan, you can choose to stay in a cabin. Hafsten Resort & Camping has plenty of cabins in different sizes and models.
There are also a number of other accommodation options. These include the larger villa "Strandvillan" and two natural and luxurious glamping tents overlooking the water. Cosy!
Nice beach
The long sandy beach at Hafsten is fantastic, lined with lovely green trees that reflect in the water.
There is also a nice long jetty, which is certainly popular in the summer. We came here at the end of September and had absolute no expectations of sunbathing or swimming, but we were surprised!
Hot tub and sauna
Our first evening we had booked a hot tub and sauna. Hot water and a hot sauna can be nice even on a really rough autumn day. Now we got a delicious combination of hot water and brilliant sunshine.
After a while in the warm water, we sat on the wooden deck and sunbathed in the sunshine, and then I (Helena) took a dip in the cooling sea. It was an absolutely fantastic and relaxed afternoon and evening, which we will never forget. This is what we think is luxury!
Games, activities and adventures
For those who want, there are also plenty of other activities at Hafsten Resort & Camping. For example, there is a gym and mini-spa, but also a swimming pool with a long water slide, adventure golf, a high-altitude course, padel, segway, the possibility of renting a boat or an electric bike and much more.
An oddity is the 'reverse car' - a car that turns right when you steer left and vice versa. Driving it definitely seems like a challenge!
FlyingFox zipline
What did we choose to do then? Well, we tried the FlyingFox zipline. Or, if we are to be really honest, it was only Peter who tried it. I (Helena) had perhaps hoped that I would gather courage, but I am of course so resentful when it comes to heights ... In the end, I'm just very happy to watch and be the one taking photos and films.
This zipline is 900 metres long, has a 90-metre drop and a top speed of 90 km/h. Peter was really satisfied and thought it was a super fun adventure!
Hike to Hafstenstoppen
We also hiked to Hafstenstoppen, which is 119 metres above sea level, at a convenient distance from the campsite reception. The hike here is no more than 1.6 - 1.8 km, depending on which route you take, and you can choose between an easier and a slightly steeper route.
Once at the top, you can enjoy beautiful views of Uddevalla and the outer archipelago. For us, this was a really nice start to the days at the campsite!
Restaurant Corallen
The campsite has a few different places to eat, and one of the evenings we tried the Corallen restaurant. We must say that we were positively surprised - very good food and very good service!
Peter chose a Skagen canapé for his starter and a salmon and seafood soup for his main course. Helena ordered oven-baked beetroot with chèvre and breaded plaice. A truly luxurious restaurant visit!
Lovely days at Hafsten Resort & Camping
All in all, we can say that we had really nice days at Hafsten Resort & Camping, and we will gladly come back here! We conclude with two views from the campsite - taken from the same place, but at different times of the day.

What a nice place! We have thought several times about that campsite but have not tried it yet. Looks promising! Uddevalla is otherwise something we only go through on the way to the coast.
