This week I'm exceptionally happy that it's Friday! The summer weather outside is absolutely fantastic, so there's every reason to be happy. At the same time, I have been hysterically tired all week. It's great that it's finally Friday. Happy Friday!

I really love living in a houseboat when summer arrives. Leisure boats of all shapes and sizes poking in and out of the entrance to the island. Pampas marina, the open-air restaurant at restaurant K4 is full of people sipping white wine in the sun and children jumping into the water from the jetties. Yes, they actually did that yesterday!
This May must be remembered as extraordinary, and you can't help but enjoy this fantastic summer weather. At the same time, I have been extremely tired this week, and therefore it is extra nice that it is Friday!
Bright and warm for sleeping ...
I've had some headaches this week, which may explain why I'm so tired. And I find it hard to sleep when it's hot and bright ... Yes, I know, you shouldn't complain about the heat and the light, but I think it's.... super hard to sleep.
Finally, I've realised that I can use the air source heat pump to cool the air at night if I want to (we usually use it for the opposite purpose). And it is important to take advantage now that Peter is and building houses on the island. He wants to be warm when he sleeps, so when he comes home we have to compromise. Sleeping temperature - it's probably the only thing we usually disagree on! How do you like to sleep? Light or dark? Warm or cold?
Student celebrations and island life
Best this week? Well, it will be a repeat of last week. The weather! Now it's really nice that it's Friday. This afternoon I will celebrate my nephew's graduation. Great! Then it is finally time to go out to Ring island and see Peter again after a few days apart. Happy Friday!

warm and bright there too. Likes a cool bedroom.
Here we have had almost a whole week of clouds, high humidity,
rain, thunder and wind. Spike of rain in the afternoon. Flooding
on major roads. The farm needs maintenance, but everything is wet.

What wonderful summer weather Sweden has had all the time we have been travelling. Let's hope that the summer weather is not finished for this year, even if some rain showers may be welcome.
What has been the best part of this week is hard to choose, but it has been incredibly fun to see our German friends on whose garage driveway we are spending our last holiday nights, south of Cologne. Imagine that it is almost a year since they were with us and among other things got to experience Swedish midsummer ...

Sleep best when it is cool and dark. We can pull the blackout in the entire motorhome so it is darker than we had it in the apartment. I have also been terribly tired this week, but it is due to allergies and allergy medication. I usually manage without medication but this week I have not managed without it. And it feels. Now it's a weekend of just being.

Yes, one hardly dares to complain about the weather at the risk of it starting to rain immediately, but I understand what you mean. I have (after 7 years) still not got that roller blind up so wake up with the sun. In this way, it is better in e.g. Italy where it at least gets dark at night 🙂.

The husband and I also have an argument (despite living together for 30 years) about the temperature in the bedroom. I like it cool and he wants it warm.
The light, however, does not bother me at all. We will see if I change my mind on that point when I have been in Norrland in the days before midsummer.

This is Stockholm at its best. Yes, it's been like that for almost three weeks now. Absolutely incredible.
The light doesn't bother me when I go to sleep, but the heat is troublesome. If you suffer from migraines, which I also do, but not as badly as you do, you should buy those blinders that you put over your eyes and stick behind your head. I think it would help.

The quality of sleep is not exactly the best when it's this hot! I prefer darkness and coolness. But since I do not directly have problems with the heat, it works to sleep anyway. Even though I get a little heavy in my head 🙂
